23.01.2022 Still getting used to the whole Nikon system, especially fiddling around with settings in the dark, but happy with what I’m able to produce with an F4 lens! Shot out last night for a quick Milkyway test, didn’t have long as the Milkyway drops fairly quick now. Was purely testing the Milkyway, wasn’t too fussed with the foreground so it has some noise in it, I don’t have a shutter release yet so couldn’t try some really long exposures for the foreground.... Still used 10 shots and stacked in Sequator because that’s how I roll. Shot on the @nikonaustralia Z6 with the 14-30mmS f4 14mm F4 ISO 6400 15 Seconds

23.01.2022 Rolling hills, golden light, textures and shadows. According to geologists, the Perry Sandhills originated after an ice age (40,000 years ago) and are formed by wind erosion over thousands of years. Took this shot with the @djiglobal Mavic Air.... Happy Top Down Tuesday good people (Tap for full frame)

22.01.2022 When day meets night - Pearler conditions last night for what looks to be one of the last Astro shoots for the season. I came out to this spot earlier in the day and the salt lake looked mint for some Astro so I hit up the boys @ads.pixels and @six6visual and there was no hesitation.... If you have seen my stories you can see that the water was like glass! The stars were popping in the sky and in the water from the reflections, and the zodiacal glow was visible setting up a dreamy scene. I shot this with the @nikonaustralia Z6 + 14-30mmS F4 Single shot: @ 14mm F4 ISO 4000 15 Seconds Edited in @lightroom (Tap photo for full frame)

22.01.2022 Ahhh that golden light, this was taken back in June last year at the Grampians over the Halls Gap valley. It was blowing a gale this particular morning, so it was fresh as! Also got some good shots of lake bellfield which was directly behind us, unfortunately had a gust of wind blow over @ads.pixels tripod and had some breakage zzz. Super keen to get back there soon!

20.01.2022 The Magellanics - Did you know that the Small and Large Magellanic clouds contain an unusually high concentration of gas, unlike most satellite galaxies, implying that they are passing by the Milky Way, rather than orbiting the galaxy? Went out to shoot the last of the Milkyway season last week and had to get in some Magellanic Clouds ... This is a 10 shot stack shot with the @nikonaustralia Z6 + 14-30mmS F4 @ 24mm F4 ISO 6400 15 Seconds Stacked in Sequator and edited in @Lightroom and @photoshop (Tap photo for full frame)

17.01.2022 Who remembers @microsoft Windows XP? Here is your 2020 Windows wallpaper. Had a good catch up with @ads.pixels last weekend and got out for some drone shots, had a bit of drama with my drone though, unfortunately I didn’t even get my drone up in the air as it had a processor chip error, so it wouldn’t fly, I thought I fried it! Ended up pulling it apart a few days ago to get to the chip fan and give it a good ol air compress, that fixed it! I was happy to get a few shots like this one with the camera

17.01.2022 Thanks for the share ABC Melbourne

14.01.2022 Beam me up Scotty! Pretty crazy Sunday arvo just gone with the insane dust storm that came through with embedded storms, I had set up in a couple of spots but I had to keep moving as it was moving so fast. I ended up doing a loop in my area, roughly 300km~ to intercept the storm that hit home, but the wind and dust did not make it ideal.... I drove past a bunch of legends doing harvest so I had to pull over and get some shots. There was a couple of lightning strikes behind them about 30-35km away but I was really hesitant to set up as it looked really unstable, quite lucky I didn’t because a couple of km’s to my left a bolt dropped and the crack was insane. Hats off to the farmers that get shit done in even the most extreme weather if anyone happens to know the field next to the Robinvale Resource Recovery Facility off the Robinvale-Sealake road I would love for them to see this. Shot on the @nikonaustralia Z6 + 14-30mmS F4 @ 24mm ISO 200 f5.0 **Not for media use, licensing available**

14.01.2022 Been getting some amazing moody skies lately, this ones got a bit of US Midwest feel about it. Got to this spot and had a bit of time to get a few shots off then had to move, as it was moving fast. My next planned shot was a 20 min or so drive, but when I got to the bridge I got stuck there for a bit because of border checks and the clouds had moved off a bit more north than I would of liked, but ended up getting to a good spot for golden hour (photo soon).

12.01.2022 After a very disappointing storm chase (uneventful) on Saturday afternoon it was nice to come back home and finish the day off with a pretty neat sunset

11.01.2022 The big guy rising over Granite Island in Victor Harbor. Looking forward to getting back over to SA when the borders open up again, hopefully soon! Have you been to Victor Harbor? (Tap for full frame)

09.01.2022 Free Gaza - Bit of a composite I’ve been working on the last couple of days. Took the foreground shot when I was in SA in January, cool little valley up near Sellicks on the @officialfleurieupeninsula , not sure what the big ass pipe is? Can anyone in @southaustralia shed some light? It says free gaza on it anyway ... Milkyway was taken last year.

08.01.2022 Reflections - Well that’s it for Milkyway season for another year, definitely didn’t get to get out as much as I’d like to this year due to Covid and bad luck with cloud cover, but really keen to hook back into it in a few months. That won’t stop me from getting out to shoot some night scapes though, I’ll be out over the summer shooting other parts of the sky, mainly the Magellanic Clouds. ... Another comp from the other night with @ads.pixels and @six6visual This is a single shot taken with the Nikon Z6 + 14-30mmS F4 @ 14mm ISO 5000 15 seconds Post processing in Adobe Photoshop Lightroom

08.01.2022 Rain bombs and rainbows - Bit of a random mission a couple of weeks ago with @six6visual to chase some storms, unsuccessful mind you but still some nice landscapes along the way. Have a good weekend everyone, stay safe and hydrated, it’s going to be a hot one!... Shot taken with the @nikonaustralia Z6 + 14-30mmS @ 30mm @ f7.1 ISO 50 1/250

06.01.2022 Perfectly manicured vines under a moody sky, love spring

05.01.2022 I was super hesitant to post these shots as my main vibe is landscape, but I actually really like how these came out. Awesome night out with @ads.pixels shooting some local street scenes a few weeks ago. It was absolutely pissing down with rain and we were both shooting with gear that wasn’t weather sealed but it was fun nonetheless!... Shot on the @canonaustralia m50 with the nifty fifty 50mm 1.8 What do you think? Let me know in the comments. (Tap photos for the full frame)

05.01.2022 When you’ve had a few brews and create the views with blue hues. One of the shots I never posted from back in winter when there was moody skies over this awesome salt lake. This was at sunset and there was rain coming so wanted to get some shots in before the lake ended up full again. Shot with the @canonaustralia m50 + @samyang_australia 12mm f2.0... @ F8 ISO 100 1/160

03.01.2022 Another shot of the big band of rain that passed through last week, the clouds were awesome! Hoping for some more stormy goodness soon!

03.01.2022 Golden light, moody clouds, sprinkles of rain and open fields Following my last photo post of the moody clouds and open field, I crossed the bridge and headed out on the road to Mungo and found a good spot to setup for some golden light beauty, it was windy and there were a few showers but the scene was so good.

02.01.2022 This morning put on a bit of a show! I was a little late to the party but I caught the tail end of the cell that was heading east. Would of loved to have woken up @ 3am to get the storms 30km south as they were going off their head!
