10.01.2022 When ours doors reopen we will need to BUILD our members back up safely and gradually. We have created the VLT REBUILD program to do just that. REALITY: 99% of our members simply arent the same athletes they were 2 months ago. VLT REBUILD is a 3-Week Integration Program aimed at our members strength and conditioning development post-quarantine. The program will safely reintroduce our athletes back into the workouts they use to love by gradually progressing them from less intensity, lighter loads, and slower tempo work into higher intensity, heavier loads, and faster tempos. #crossfitvlt

The real issue arises when we turn one instance into a snowball of negative choices that eventually derail progress, or worse, forms a bad habit. Weve all had bad days. That doesnt mean we need to create bad habits. Instead, focus on the now. If you have a bad day, beating yourself up wont solve the problem. Dieters who measure their success by perfection are more likely to feel increased stress about their choi...ces and experience a burnout. If you have an off day or meal, treat it as such. 06.01.2022 Amazing work Hannah _ #Repost @gahingas with @get_repost ... Meet Hannah! I started the nutrition coaching program with the goal of losing weight that Ive struggled with losing since I was a kid. Having Andy by my side and holding me accountable for my food choices has really helped me stay on track and learn so much about my body, and nutrition! I was really shocked to find out that you need fats in your diet and that theyre good for you! The flexible dieting aspect really works for me because I do enjoy eating and being able to have the occasional piece of cake without feeling guilty has literally changed my life and my outlook on food in general. Andy has really helped me to be patient with achieving my goals and losing weight at a slow but steady pace, which is different to what I used to do. Im feeling stronger and healthier and have seen a boost in my overall confidence- especially with talking to new people! Theres still a long way to go but Im learning so much about myself and am really enjoying the journey! 06.01.2022 Here we go again Team As Im sure by now we have all heard that yes we are going into another Lockdown as of Midnight tonight. At this stage we are being told for 5 days, meaning we will be able to re-open next Thursday (fingers crossed) Obviously between now and then we will keep you posted on anymore updates. Guys I wish I didn't have to keep writing these posts and I wish I could say it will be the last time but I cant, what I can say though as a Community/Family we have ...gotten through it before (twice in fact) and we will again. VLT as a business will continue to keep fighting and be there for our amazing Community/Family. Its been a tough time and there will still be lots of tough times ahead, but there is light at the end of the tunnel. Given this looks to be our opening date we will plan for it accordingly. 02.01.2022 Hey Team! Start date for VLT30 - This Weekend (March 7th and 8th) We will be introducing our new pilot program (at both locations) This will be our new 30min - VLT30 program. VLT30 SCHEDULE (for the month of March)... CITY: 9:30am (Saturdays and Sundays) AIRPORT WEST: 8:30am (Saturdays) 9:30am (Sundays) Book in now on Wodify! VLT30 IS FAST-PACED CONDITIONING! Our NEW 30 minute class, VLT 30, is fast paced and fun. Workouts combine simple bodyweight, gymnastics, and light lifting movements for a high-energy workout. Short, sweet, and super sweaty! No CrossFit experience required! This class is open to anyone looking for a challenging workout without the complex barbell movements. This will also be a great bridge for those that may have the goal of eventually graduating on to VLT60/CrossFit classes. We hope to have the VLT30 running as a great avenue for new members to become comfortable and assimilated in a group fitness environment. This program is also great while on the road, or as an added class to the VLT60 workouts. This condensed timeline will focus on the 9 foundational movement patterns, found in our VLT60 classes (with DBs or KBs). It will cover a time span of 6 months with a monthly focus, two benchmark workouts each month, and then repeat at the 6-month mark. We are going to pilot the program every Saturday and Sunday at both facilities for the entire month of March. If it runs well and we are happy with the 30min format then we we will have it on a regular rotation in April with the goal of having it running 7 days a week at both facilities. If the demand is there we will also look at potentially running so extra classes after the first two weeks of its introduction. During the first pilot month you are welcome to bring along family and friends to try it out and see what the class or CrossFit is all about. If you are interested in bringing anyone along please shoot us an email or leave a comment to let us plan ahead in regards to class numbers. I hope this helps to explain the program a little more. 02.01.2022 Every month, at the beginning of the month, we will send out a newsletter that lets you know what the focus will be for the month. Lets talk February, team! We are continuing with our Skills & Conditioning focus that kicked off 2020. Now keep in mind that we missed half the month due to starting the program mid month but you get the idea. In January the programming leaned into a lot of foundational gymnastics and really dove deep into drills and skills that would have... a carry-over benefit. We intentionally prioritised movements like the kipping pull-up, toes to bars, and the kipping handstand push-ups. These are often at the top of our athletes lists to accomplish, practice, or master. You will want to remember those skills and lessons you learnt as we transition into February...after all its nearly impossible to master things like the muscle-up or big unbroken sets of HSPU without first understanding the foundational building blocks.
