The Culture Book shows the evolution of the company, rounding up the year that was, exhibiting the amazing growth that we, as a company and as a family, have gone through. It also aims to convey what the company culture means to each one of our team members, giving a glimpse of what the VBP culture is all about. Sadly, this year,... we are not able to create a 2020 edition of the Culture Book. 18.01.2022 We launched our Shout Out a Meal Program, a fundraising campaign that aims to provide daily meals for our superhero frontliners. With our staffs overwhelming support and commitment, we have exceeded our target and this week, we were able to distribute our first batch of meals to frontliners at hospitals and checkpoints around Cebu City. Moreover, with the amount raised, we are also aiming to provide PPEs to our healthcare workers to support their fight against COVID-19.... Special thanks to Chef Alex (our resident chef) and his team for preparing and delivering those hearty meals. And of course, to our VBP Freaks who wholeheartedly pledged their donations. 07.01.2022 Only 2 months ago when we had our first All Hands Meeting for 2020 where, as part of our company update, I shared this slide. Had no idea how important this sta...tement would be in the perusing months. We have built our business on 8 tenets (we call them our Core Values). In order for a Core Value to stand, it must withstand some important criteria and tests. 1) Is this Core Value alive among your team? 2) Would you fire a team member who consistently or blatantly violated a Core Value? 3) Would your company be willing to take a financial hit (lose money) in order to maintain the integrity of a Core Value? I think it is in a time of crisis that, as a leader in business, you must look into your values and remind yourself that you will be remembered for the decisions you make during these times. For us now, there is one core value that stands above all - One World and Family Spirit - which means we embrace that we now live in a world without borders or constraints; a global world where solving issues for some can enrich the lives of others.
