25.01.2022 Full Lifesaving patrols at Victorian coastal clubs kick off from today, Saturday 28 NOV We've been preparing for a long time for this moment! Many Victori...ans haven’t been out on the water for a while, so we urge everyone to please take extra precautions to prepare and plan your day. Remember these important water safety messages to help everyone stay safe by the water: Wherever possible, swim at a beach patrolled by lifesavers and between the red and yellow flags. Find a patrolled beach: https://beachsafe.org.au/ Supervise children closely around water and always swim with friend Check the weather before you head out. Watch for changing conditions, cool changes and wind direction changes that could impact your beach activities: http://www.bom.gov.au/ Check beach closures and emergency info: https://emergency.vic.gov.au/respond/ If you’re going boating, make sure your vessel is in good working order and you’ve packed your safety gear. Check boat ramps and conditions: https://www.boating.vic.gov.au/ Don't get out of your depth! Know your own capabilities and plan what you need to do to stay safe Read safety signs and check beach hazard ratings a beach with a rating of 8/10 won’t be suitable for swimming for most people. Keep 1.5 metres apart (length of a beach towel or surfboard), carry your mask to wear indoors or in case you can’t physically distance and don't forget the hand sani! 25.01.2022 NIPPERS INFORMATION - Just a reminder that due to the Covid restrictions we will have to close off our registrations for the Venus Bay Nipper Program for the 2020/2021 season on 1st December 2020. If you want your kids registered for the Nipper Program this summer please ensure that your registration is complete before that date.

22.01.2022 The National Lifesaving Awards of Excellence were just held virtually, and Penguin Beach from Tasmania just won Club of the Year! A small club with just 170 members, it’s a huge win for them! We’ve felt that excitement and know the elation they will be feeling right now! Congrats Penguin Beach!!

20.01.2022 **Nipper Swim Assessment Day** Due to Covid-19 restrictions in place with access to swimming pools and lesson activity, the club is offering an alternative option if you are finding it difficult to have your child's swim assessment completed as per previous years. We are holding a session at the Brighton Sea Baths on Sunday 22 November 2020 for those interested in coming along to complete swim assessments for the upcoming season. Remember, completed swim assessments are comp...ulsory to be eligible to participate in the Nippers program. There are 2 timelsots with a maximum of 15 bookings per slot. If timeslots book out we will look to create additional timeslots as necessary. Due to Covid-19, bookings are essential.
