In lieu of the History culminating activity ‘The Night at the Museum’ being cancelled late last term, Mrs Scott and Mr Maynes' classes still wanted to do something creative at the end of term. So Students designed information posters on their topics. They then had a little swap, and visited each others classes to check each others work out.

14.01.2022 Year 8 SCIENCE: A great photo from our year 8 science lab. Students are currently studying chemistry and investigating chemical changes. Burning strontium chloride causes the flame to burn red. FUN FACT: strontium is the same element that causes fireworks to be red in colour.

It is with great excitement that we would like to confirm the year 7 students will be participating in a philosophy unit during their DARE lesson each Friday afternoon for term 3. After the significantly positive feedback we received in support of philosophy based content, we have been working with the primary campus to develop an age specific introduction to the topic. Students will be challenged to share and discuss in a safe and supportive teacher lead community of enquiry each lesson. We are looking to observe outcomes of this course that will improve the perspective of students and that they can apply the valuable learning tools associated with higher levels of thought to their day to day learning and living.

08.01.2022 Last week, with the Year 7 science Chemistry exam approaching in week 7, 7B and 7D took to the quads to embrace the sunshine and engage in an outdoor crossword challenge. Each group had a crossword to complete that was filled with their glossary terms and they had to retrieve one clue at a time from their teacher. what a great way to enjoy the weather and engage students in a great learning activity!

05.01.2022 It was so lovely having the year 7 assembly this morning face to face with all the students! We had the pleasure of both our Executive Principal, Mrs Schultz and our Head of School, Ms Lewis address the students upon their return to school. getting back into some form of regular routine was a nice way to welcome in the new term. We are looking forward to seeing the year 8 cohort for a face to face assembly on Monday week 2. Further information on assembly weeks can be found ...in this weeks 'weekly overview'.
