22.01.2022 We are very well aware of the issues you have faced over recent weeks; it has certainly been a difficult time for the education sector. VCTA is continually monitoring the situation to see how we can best support members as this unprecedented event continues. We have postponed all face-to-face professional learning for term two but will continue to monitor the situation.... Our Reviewing student performance in the VCE 2019 exam is being recorded this week and we will advise you of its availability in the coming weeks. If you would like to register to receive this recording, please visit the VCTA website. The next edition of Compak will be uploaded during the first week of term two. You will be emailed when it’s available. The Board of Directors and staff are meeting over the holiday break to discuss how we can support you on-line in the coming months. 06.01.2022 VCTA and NCS are pleased to advise that they have been contracted to manage the Victorian Students’ Parliamentary Program (VSPP) for 2020 and 2021. These have been revised to take in the implications of COVID-19 and social distancing. We are providing all Secondary Schools that are participating in the in-school Convention with links to resources and teaching points. These links will be available from 25 May to 7 August 2020. This will also include an online voting component ...on the topic which will take place in mid-July. The topic for the Convention will be Should the voting age be lowered to 16? It will be delivered via Zoom in after school sessions over the course of a fortnight from Monday 16 November to Friday 27 November.
