25.01.2022 What's not to love about this elegant and comfortable bar? I've enjoyed pleasant after-work drinks outside by the park on many nights, but most recently we went for a friend's birthday drinks. The staff were enthusiastic and keen to help us celebrate, without being pushy. The bar manager has a touch of the Erroll Flynn, and a droll way with words. A place this size - small - hinges on the personality of the staff - and we left feeling like family. It's a great grown-up altern...ative to the other bars in the area - which are variously full of shiny hipsters, shrieking westies or smelly backpackers. It could be classified as a straight-acting gay bar! The room is dark and nicely furnished with a shabby chic antique sensibility - carved wooden chairs, large gilded mirrors, swishy velvet curtains. The wine list is pretty good - some top brand high priced champagnes suitable for a red letter date ( we had a very good Perrier-Jouet), and lots of very good mid priced options from small wineries - none of the usual suspects. For a champagne bar, the cocktail list is rather extensive and dangerously tempting - and makes very good reading. This bar has romantic corners for couples but also works for groups - a difficult balancing act to pull off but they do it well. See more

24.01.2022 VELLUTO Champagne & Wine Bar is looking for a fabulous person for a part time floor/bartender role. If you have bar/restaurant experience, understand good service and have a warm and winning personality we want to hear from you. This is a great opportunity for the right person to make their mark on this small and intimate space. A good understanding of wine or cocktails is a plus, 2 years experience in a restaurant/bar preferable. Weekend evening availability and valid NSW RSA certificate essential. 05.01.2022 Love this bar. Really enjoy sitting outside on a nice night with a champagne in hand. Good finger food, friendly service. Indoors has a cosy private feel to it. Great meeting spit.
