25.01.2022 Dear Velvet Chase Supporters, It is with an extremely heavy heart that we have decided to remove our events from Adelaide Fringe Festival this year. Due to circumstances beyond our control, the all encompassing event ’Affair At The Gallows’ will now re-emerge at a later date. Velvet Chase Productions aim to inspire as we continue to push boundaries and break the mould on our audiences and supporters expectations. Be sure, this is no exception. And D-C is the new cabaret venue for 5 star burlesque noir favourite Gorelesque, running bi-monthly on the last Saturday; commencing February 2020... 17.01.2022 EXPRESSION OF INTEREST THE CAT IS OUT OF THE BAG.......... Your chance to be part of something big !! Internationally acclaimed ... Velvet Chase Productions is at it again, we will be producing world premiere and like always we will be pushing boundaries. We are taking an expression of interest for people wanted to be involved in a truely unique experience, acting is not essential but will be beneficial for some stories. This is unpaid work, and we are looking for 20-30 people of all different shapes, sizes, ages.... (there is no criteria for the way you look) There will be no speaking in the roles, some roles will be a lot harder to play than others, some based on historical events. If you have any other talents that I maybe able to incorporate please let me know on application. Think along the lines of American Horror Story, throw in 2020 Adelaide Fringe and an interactive experience for the audience. Warning in advance the location it’s self can be quite ominous to some, as location is the Old Adelaide Gaol. DATE: 6th & 7th of March TIME: 4pm - 6:30pm ( possibly 7pm ) LOCATION: Old Adelaide Gaol REHEARSAL: TBA between director and cast member APPLICANTS MUST BE: *Over 18 ( if under I need written consent from parents ) *Be able to follow direction *Can work by one’s self or in small groups *Be available for 1-2 short rehearsals *Must be comfortable working in a cell environment for a few hours. ( Doors will be open ) *Able to stay in character, and behave like no one is watching. *Able to pay a small deposit ( this deposit will be completely refunded after the 2 shows are complete, working with such a large group we need to ensure that the people cast for these roles will stay for the season) Velvet Chase Productions has produced 5 star internationally acclaimed #nofilter (that will be coming up in its 6th season). 5 star Burlesque Noir Production Gorelesque (were gore and horror collide) coming up to its 4th season. 09.01.2022 WANTED FOR FRINGE FESTIVAL Calling Local Stall Holders My company produces shows throughout the year and in fringe, I have been producing 5 star internationally acclaimed shows for 4 years now such as hashtag nofilter, Gorelesque and have been producing for 10 years, this year I’m trying something completely different, I’m putting together a mini hub at the Adelaide Fringe in the Adelaide Gaol. I have a free event to the public for 2 days only ( 6 & 7 March ) called Market B...izarre, this event will have food vans and market stalls ( S.A locals ONLY ) over the fringe period it’s hard for the local arts community as there is so much on offer so I want to crest a local hub and involve the local community as much as possible and keeping money in the artists pocket. I am hoping to get an established market involved so they can organise it as they wish someone with an established following, (that way it’s one less job I have to look after), I really want to promote local business over this time and the Market Bazaar is advertised in the guide, the internet and will be on the posters ( so heaps of publicity ) I have a good vendor who is interested in jumping on board too, so this is great news, market bizzar will run Friday and Saturday from 4pm onwards. I’m wanting 15-20 stall holders, different, quirky, unique the theme is festival/side show if I can’t find an established market group then I will take it on myself and take individual requests, the rent is extremely cheap and you will keep all of your profits. Whilst the markets are free to the public, there will be several productions going on in the prison grounds.
