02.01.2022 SHARED TECHNIQUE OF THE MONTH ... WHAT WORKS FOR ME - Daisy chain using 2cm vitreous glass tiles. 1. Pick your colours for the daisy and the centre glass dot.... Image in reds, orange and yellow, or lilac, plum and raspberry ... your favourite colours. 2. Diagonal cut across three of the corners (3 cuts). The uncut corner will be in the centre of the daisy giving the daisy a nice structure. Hint ... the deeper the cut, the smaller, rounder the petal. 3. Diagonal cut each of the cut corners (4 cuts) as shown in the photo. It’s vitreous glass so cutting may not be predictable. Just nibble any pointed bits to round off. 4. Last two cuts are toward the centre to get the final petal shape. Nibble off any bits as you like. 5. Cut a total of six petals for the daisy shown in the photo. HINT: the green leaf may be cut exactly the same as the petal with one final cut up the middle of the petal shape to get two leaves. TIP: Placement may be as per picture or placing two petals opposite the next daisy - thank hexagon when covering a larger are with a host of flowers without too many large gaps to be filled. Enjoy your daisy chaining. Do post a picture of your if you decide to use this methods, and any other hints or tips along the way.
