25.01.2022 Were still here for our community - Based on the most current information from the Victorian State Government and following guidelines for Stage 3 restrictions for Regional Victoria, the Venus Bay Community Centre will close our doors to the general public from Thursday 6 August 2020 until further notice. South Gippsland Shire Council is looking for a range of local creatives to help deliver a newly developed South Gippsland COVID-19 Creative and Cultural Arts Program.... Part of Council’s $2M COVID-19 Community Support Package, this is a unique and exciting collection of Arts projects, events, training programs and employment and mentor opportunities, designed to provide a critical hand of help for our community, while dealing with the ongoing effects of this global pandemic. The Creative and Cultural Arts Program is made up of 10 Arts-based creative projects, which will require local; - Visual artists - Writers - Filmmakers - Musicians - Designers We are also looking for local Arts Workers to help facilitate and deliver community arts and music projects, and a photographer/filmmaker to document all 10 projects. 21.01.2022 WE NEED YOUR HELP We’re applying for funding to install a Lithium battery at the Centre to go with our existing solar panels- we want to be able to provide a place to go when there are power outages- for our community to feel safe, charge phones, internet, get water, go to the toilet, cook dinner or just have a cup of tea. 05.01.2022 What is on the horizon for young people? Contribute to a new vision for young people post-Covid-19 and co-design the future. The Venus Bay Community is offering to support several opportunities to attend this summit for FREE- So our young folk ( under 30 years old) can have their say- we can offer 10 single sessions and 2 half week registrations ( 10 sessions)...send email to [email protected] so we can register you. Its late notice so get in quick! Its an amazing line up of speakers & participants!

We can help by doing a drive by photo for you.
