20.01.2022 Professional Development - the single greatest investment we make. We’ve just wrapped up a four day Tarwyn Park Training school w the formidable Peter, Stuar...t, and Megan Andrews, and John Fry. There is no end to the work we can do in the landscape to help rehydrate it, store more water, and rebuild fertility. It’s been an absolute privilege to spend four days w a man of Peter’s caliber. Slow the flow. Let all plants grow. Be careful where the animals go. The filter is a must know. Quite unfortunately, due to COVID rescheduling of events, Grant N Tanya Wickham were unable to join us as the dates clashed w the KLR Marketing school that they were attending in Orange! Very proud of the engagement by our team this week and I’m looking forward to seeing how Jimmy, Jamie, Brent, Trisha and Lisa incorporate their learnings into the business. If you have an opportunity, get along to one of these courses, worth every cent! Give a man a fish, and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to fish, and you feed him for a lifetime - this is our approach to investment in our staff.
18.01.2022 Another awesome week of training chainsaw- level 1 on the west side of Brisbane out of the Carole Park facility. Small, medium and large businesses are realising their WHS compliance obligations. Thanks to Gailes Golf Club Incorporated for the opportunity to do the days practical on their course.
17.01.2022 Training across the northern and south - western suburbs of Brisbane with chemical (ACDC licencing) and Level 1 chainsaw certification. Small, medium and large businesses now being more aware of their WHS compliance obligations with themselves and their staff. Why do I need a Chainsaw Ticket?... If you are using a chainsaw at work, you need to be able to demonstrate to WorkCover that you have been properly trained and formally assessed. This does not only apply to professional chainsaw operators, it also applies to builders, plumbers, landscapers, gardeners and anyone else who uses a chainsaw on-the-job for a work-related activity. Chainsaw operators are also required to show that their skills are being kept up-to-date and that they are regularly demonstrating their ability to work safely and efficiently to a recognised assessor. The best way to do this is to get an accredited ‘Chainsaw ticket’.

05.01.2022 Training Bio-security and chainsaws- level 1 in the Gladstone and Iveragh area. We choose to train, ‘on job - on country’ ensuring our participants are shown and experience all chainsaw cuts and their dangers. If you use a chainsaw off your property or someone else uses a chainsaw on your property, certification is the only way to show compliance for that person.
04.01.2022 Quote of the week "Our message to the Victorian and Federal governments is the regions can't wait for Melbourne to catch up. The time to entice growth in the regions and help us recover is now." - VFF PRESIDENT, DAVID JOCHINKE.
