04.01.2022 During the 2019/20 fire season the Veteran Rural Fire Brigade attended a total of 105 incidents in Veteran and across the region. They also joined interstate strike teams and assisted with fires in Glen Innes and Tathra/Bermagui. In addition to the many, many hours spent at brigade and district training days, on equipment maintenance and brigade support activities, over 2000 volunteer man hours were devoted to fires. We have a very dedicated team of people who invest their own time in our safety, and we thank them sincerely for their efforts. With fire season upon us once again, please help our fire fighters by staying aware of conditions and following advice on fire bans.
