25.01.2022 Labor’s budget borrows more than any in Victorian history. But one area has been singled out for cuts: the anti-corruption commission and Parliament’s oversight committees. The Premier denies it but the truth is there in black and white - Labor is muzzling Victoria’s anti-corruption and oversight bodies.

25.01.2022 It takes courage to stand up to an overbearing Labor Government. Michelle Loielo is courageous. A small business owner and single mum of 3, Michelle and her pro bono legal team are challenging Andrews curfew directive in the Supreme Court of Victoria.... Andrews curfew is punitive. It is disproportionate. It is illogical. Michelle and her legal team will test whether it is also unlawful. With Shadow Attorney-General Edward ODonohue MP, the Victorian Liberals fully support Michelles challenge to Labors curfew.

24.01.2022 Gyms are a core part of peoples physical and mental health. Theyre also one of the industries hardest hit by lockdowns this year. The Liberal Nationals call on the government to provide more support for industry and help gyms reopen sooner and safer.

24.01.2022 It’s been a long winter and a longer lockdown. Now it’s time to get out and enjoy all the wonders that Victoria has to offer. White sandy beaches. Rocky mountain hikes. Bushland full of wildlife and rainbow flora. Mountain biking trails. Winery trails. Rail trails. Wandering slowly trails. ... Great foodie nooks. Decks with a view. Picnic rugs with your favourite people. We have it all right here. That’s why, to kick-start Victorian tourism, our #BackToWork plan proposes: $400 million to develop and upgrade tourist attractions, $300 million to support regional tourism operators, and ‘Road Trip for Victoria’ vouchers. When we holiday at home we create jobs for our own. Our #BackToWork plan would help us reconnect with our beautiful state and each other - and support local tourism to get our economy pumping again. 24.01.2022 Today Daniel Andrews and Labor have given planning approval to dump toxic soil from its plagued West Gate Tunnel project at Maddingley Brown Coal Bacchus Marsh and Cleanaway Ravenhall sites - near homes, schools and agriculture land. Labor secretly changed regulations to avoid community consultation and scrutiny, removing the community’s right to appeal, and removing the landfill levy. The contrast is clear, the Liberal Nationals will continue to work with the local communities to fight this while Daniel Andrews and Labor will give foreign-owned construction contractors a tax-free ride to dump toxic soil.

24.01.2022 Small and medium business has suffered all over the country, but only in Victoria has there been such huge damage to jobs. Labors lockdown is killing small business in Victoria. And with Labors plan to keep most of them locked down until November at the earliest, it will only get worse.

24.01.2022 Our young people have endured through a lot this year they’ve missed their friends, their sport and extracurricular activities, their school leadership roles and important events like graduation ceremonies. Our plan to get Victoria Back to Work would deliver better support for school students with catch-up classes, $100 sports and recreation vouchers, and dedicated mental health workers for all state primary schools. Emotionally stronger, better connected and supported stu...dents is part of our plan to get Victoria #BackToWork. Read our full plan at www.michaelobrien.com.au

24.01.2022 Only a few months ago the Andrews Labor Government tried to ram through a law that would silence women who’d been raped. They even tried to silence the mother of Jill Meagher. Now, Daniel Andrews and his Labor MPs want another new law that would wipe clean the record of teenage rapists and murderers and stop you from finding out about their records. How could a Government have such misguided priorities and such a disregard for victims of serious and heinous crimes?... We’re not talking about a fresh start for minor offences - Labor wants to hide the records of the most shocking crimes, including murder and rape. Daniel Andrews and Labor don’t care about victims, instead always looking to make laws that favour perpetrators. What do you think?

23.01.2022 Victorians have endured a lot this year. The Victorian Liberal Nationals’ have a Back to Work plan to return security, and the feeling of security, to all Victorians. Our plan is for immediate action so that Victorians can get their jobs back, provide for their families, open their businesses, meet their rent and mortgage payments, educate their kids, keep healthy and protect elderly Victorians.

22.01.2022 Victoria is currently in the middle of a jobs crisis with an unemployment rate of 7.4 per cent and an underemployment rate of 13.0 per cent. So what does Labor’s Daniel Andrews do? Andrews proposes a new tax on jobs. Paul Guerra, from the Victorian Chamber of Commerce and Industry said today "we need to think about how to get business moving, not to put more taxes on business."... Australian Industry Group chief executive Innes Willox said "COVID should not be used as a cover to drive ideological agendas which raise costs for businesses and employment". "The levy would, in effect, be a tax on employment and would be another deterrent to employers investing in Victoria." The Franchise Council of Australia warned the move "may hamper economic recovery." Labor’s announcement of a new levy is a kick in the guts to all those small businesses who have battled through the harsh lockdowns because of Daniel Andrews’ second wave of coronavirus. 22.01.2022 I’m pretty tired of posting these types of stories - because they mean that Victorians are being let down yet again by Labor Government bungled projects. Here’s the checklist for the Western Suburban Roads Upgrade: Cost blow out? ... Taxpayer-funded bail out? Project delayed? Small business contractors ripped off? Workers laid off? Bad management = bad government.

21.01.2022 A Royal Commission into Victorias COVID-19 pandemic response is vital. Hundreds of lives have been lost and millions of Victorians have been locked down. We will be bearing the human and economic cost of this for a generation. Thats why Victoria needs the full powers of a Royal Commission to get to the bottom of Victorias bungled second wave response. ... We all deserve the truth and we need to learn the lessons for the future. If Labor rejects a Royal Commission, then an OBrien Liberal Nationals government will ensure it happens.

21.01.2022 Daniel Andrews’ latest cash grab is to whack a new tax on Victorian personalised number plates. Hidden deep in Labor’s Transport Legislation Amendment Bill 2020 is an unfair and unnecessary tax on Victorians who choose to personalise their vehicles with customised number plates. This is just another example of Daniel Andrews trying to squeeze every last dollar out of hardworking Victorians who have already suffered through Labor’s second wave of coronavirus.... The Liberal Nationals will oppose Labor’s new tax on customised number plates. It’s just another unfair tax from what is already the highest taxing government in Australia.

21.01.2022 HAVE YOUR SAY Victoria has had 14 consecutive days of zero cases. Under the Roadmap, this was the trigger to go to the Final Step and ease restrictions.... But Daniel Andrews has changed his mind and said no. Do you think restrictions should be eased?

20.01.2022 My op-ed in todays Herald Sun on Labors plan to keep Victorians locked down.

20.01.2022 2020/21 Victorian State Budget No plan to address Victoria’s jobs crisis Refuses to release State Capital Program budget paper (which details the tens of billions in infrastructure blowouts) $100 billion in new debt ($154.8 billion overall)... $4 billion a year in interest repayments Public sector wages up 14.4% Women miss out, with just 6,000 of the 146,500 women currently unemployed receiving any direct assistance Minimal funding for Victorian school students seeking mental health support Small businesses that do not employ extra staff will receive no support Read all of our Budget Day releases: https://www.michaelobrien.com.au/category/media-releases/

20.01.2022 A five year promise by Labor to build a National Proton Beam Therapy Centre in Melbourne has been moved to the too-hard basket. The centre would greatly benefit Victorian children with cancer - but five years on, Labor won’t commit to its future. Just another Labor broken promise.

19.01.2022 Victoria needs jobs, recovery and hope. Instead we got a budget with taxes, debt and above average unemployment for the next 4 years. Borrowing to build is one thing.... But borrowing to waste is something else. You can watch my full interview with Channel 9 here.

19.01.2022 Days like today normally bring Melbourne alive and showcase us to the world through the Melbourne Cup and Spring Racing Carnival. But this year’s Melbourne Cup is unlike any other. No picnic rugs. No crowds. No after-parties in the city.... Our tourism and hospitality sectors have been ready to jump but they’ve been kept in the stables. That’s why it’s so important we look after our own and back Victorian hospitality jobs for the win. Our plan to get Victoria #BackToWork would kick-start up the economic recovery of Victoria, and back our hospitality sector through our Eat Out for Victoria program and our Road Trip for Victoria vouchers. A thriving tourism and hospitality sector will help get Victoria #BackToWork. Read our full plan at www.michaelobrien.com.au

19.01.2022 The decision to impose a curfew on Melbourne wasnt based on the Chief Health Officers advice. It wasnt based on police request. It was a decision made by Daniel Andrews alone.... The Premier just wants to control Victorians because he cant control the virus. The Liberal Nationals believe the curfew should be lifted immediately. Victorians deserve this basic freedom back.

18.01.2022 $195 million. That is how much the botched Hotel Quarantine Program has been found to have cost Victorian taxpayers far greater than what the Andrews Government budgeted and previously disclosed. But it has been much more than that. Fundamental policy mistakes by the government has cost 800 lives, families have been separated and our way of life was changed significantly.... As we rebuild our great state and our economy, we stand ready with a #BacktoWork plan for all Victorians. Check it out at www.michaelobrien.com.au

18.01.2022 A week of zero COVID cases - well done Victoria! Now is the opportunity to reshape our state, rebuild businesses and jobs, and reclaim the Victorian way of life, which made Melbourne the world’s most liveable city. 17.01.2022 A tale of two states. There’s only one virus so Daniel Andrews needs to release the health advice behind Victoria’s continuing restrictions.

17.01.2022 While the rest of the country is getting back to work, Labors hotel quarantine second wave is keeping Victoria locked down. Thats why Daniel Andrews needs to adopt the Liberal Nationals Road to Recovery plan (VLBR.AL/Roadmap) and safely re-open Victoria while protecting the vulnerable.

17.01.2022 Tonight I joined Chris Kenny on Sky News Australia to discuss Victorias lockdown, the need for a clear pathway out of it and why I will oppose Daniel Andrews grab for an extra 12 months of State of Emergency powers.

17.01.2022 A vote for the Greens is a vote for Labor.

17.01.2022 How did we get a 8pm-5am curfew? Not evidence. Not data.... Not public health advice. A Daniel Andrews captains call to lock us down. This curfew should go. And so should Andrews.

16.01.2022 Victorians understand borrowing to build in the recovery period. But Victorians shouldn't be forced to borrow to cover Labor’s waste and mismanagement. Worse, the Premier has no plan to repay the record $155bn debt.

16.01.2022 ICYMI live on SkyNews Australia and ABC News 24 - Speaking to the media today on Dans roadmap on a road to nowhere. Daniel Andrews promised a roadmap out of lockdown, but instead weve got a plan for more lockdowns. Labor is only offering Victorians more job losses, more businesses forced to close their doors for good and more sacrifices by each and every Victorian. We deserve better than this.

15.01.2022 Today more evidence was provided to the Hotel Quarantine Inquiry that ADF personnel were offered to Victoria for hotel quarantine. This flatly contradicts Andrews claim that ADF assistance was not on offer to Victoria for hotel quarantine. This offer was made when we had 110 active cases in Victoria and 19 deaths. Since this ADF offer, Victoria has seen more than 18,000 new cases and tragically 718 deaths, with nearly all infections coming from the bungled hotel quarantine ...program. Every day, a new piece of evidence shows the Daniel Andrews lied to Victorians, and its Victorians who have suffered from his mistakes.

15.01.2022 Melbourne was the worlds most liveable city. Now Melbourne is the worlds most locked down city. #ThisIsLabor

15.01.2022 Our plan to get Victoria #BackToWork calls for significant support for families to secure their finances following a year of reduced or part-wages, job layoffs, unexpected costs and significant financial uncertainty. Our plan demands the State Government commit to no new or increased taxes, freezes on household bills such as water and council rates until mid-2022, and new sources of energy to drive down power prices such as our Zero to Landfill plan. By reducing the cost of... living, Victorian families will be able to keep more of their hard-earned money, meaning they have more to spend with local businesses and create local jobs. Financially secure families will help get Victoria #BackToWork. Read our full plan at www.michaelobrien.com.au

15.01.2022 Well done Victoria! The 2nd wave lockdown has hurt our state but Victorians have been resilient. The post COVID recovery will be hard, but it is an opportunity to reshape our state, rebuild businesses and jobs, and reclaim the Victorian way of life, which made Melbourne the world’s most liveable city. ... 15.01.2022 Ive listened to a lot of Victorians since Labors Premier released their road map on Sunday. I think this 10 seconds sums it up.

14.01.2022 Lockdowns. Lies. Curfews. If you think its time to Ditch Dan Andrews - and his botched pandemic response locking us down - you can sign the petition and send him a personal message here: https://www.ditchdanandrews.com/

14.01.2022 Remember when the Victorian Labor Minister for Health assured us in January that our health system is well prepared to manage infectious diseases? Arrogance + incompetence is a deadly combination.

14.01.2022 Daniel Andrews likes to claim every decision hes made is based on "expert health advice." But today the Chief Health Officer told Melbourne radio that the 8pm curfew was not based on his health advice. So what else is Andrews lying about?

13.01.2022 Daniel Andrews’ delayed and over budget West Gate Tunnel Project has seen Labor cut corners on environmental protections and now - outrageously - stripped planning powers from Moorabool Shire. The Liberals and Nationals have proposed a motion to disallow the planning approval. We will seek the support of the Upper House to overturn the undemocratic and unsafe planning scheme amendment that would allow the dumping of toxic PFAS contaminated West Gate Tunnel spoil near the Bacc...hus Marsh township. 13.01.2022 SPEECH ON LABORS STATE OF EMERGENCY EXTENSION As I told State Parliament this morning, Victoria is not in the position it is today due to bad luck. We are only in this second wave of COVID-19 due to the inexcusable failures of the Andrews Labor Government.

12.01.2022 Victorians are desperate for a plan but all weve had from Daniel Andrews and his Labor government is a plan to keep Victorians businesses closed and families locked inside their homes. The Liberal Nationals expect that any plan announced by the Andrews Labor Government this Sunday must address these areas as a priority: Schools to recommence for Term 4... Allowing a faster easing of restrictions including for the hospitality industry, in areas or municipalities with low or no COVID-19 cases Lifting the 8pm curfew as soon as possible Harmonisation of restrictions for cross-border communities Easing restrictions on weddings, funerals and religious services while respecting the need for social distancing Allowing the resumption of non-contact personal services including (but not limited to) gardeners, personal trainers, accountants, and printers Resumption of junior and community sport. You can read more here: https://www.michaelobrien.com.au/andrews-roadmap-too-late-/

11.01.2022 At 2am in the morning - after gagging debate and blocking questions - Victorian Labor voted to extend State of Emergency powers for an extra 6 months. The vote was 20-19. I am proud that every Liberal and Nationals MP voted against this disgraceful power grab.... We will never stop fighting for the rights of Victorians against an overbearing and failed Andrews Labor government.

10.01.2022 Today is R U OK Day. An important day and an important message to every Victorian. This may have been one of the toughest years we have faced. ... I want you to know I am working for you and standing up for you. I receive many calls from people struggling in this period for many different reasons. It is OK not to be OK. We must support each other during these times. Victoria you have been extraordinary throughout these restrictions but there is still a very long road ahead. Lets rally around our family, friends, workmates and neighbours and make sure we ask - R U OK?

10.01.2022 Daniel Andrews has slashed funding to yet another independent watchdog investigating his party. The Victorian Ombudsman’s budget has been slashed by about $2 million, following a $4.4 million cut to IBAC. Victorians are entitled to be appalled by Andrews cutting the budgets of these anti-corruption bodies that are investigating alleged corruption within Labor.... Corruption costs every Victorian. That’s why the Liberal Nationals will continue to fight for accountability and transparency within government.

09.01.2022 Pyrenees. Mornington. Yarra Valley. Beechworth. Sunbury. Macedon. These are just some of Victoria's world-class wine regions - there are many, many more. But winemakers in each of these regions will suffer from the 200 per cent tariffs just imposed by the Chinese Government on our wine imports.... While Victorian jobs suffer, Daniel Andrews stands by his dodgy Belt and Road deal with the Chinese government. An O’Brien Liberal Nationals government will scrap Labor’s dodgy Belt and Road deal. https://www.michaelobrien.com.au/liberal-nationals-to-with/

09.01.2022 Our #BackToWork plan calls for the creation of 380,000 new jobs by 1 July 2022 to restore those that have been lost in Victoria due to the lockdowns and create opportunities. A major component of our plan to get Victoria Back to Work and boost local jobs is our $1 billion Bringing Manufacturing Home Fund which would re-establish Victoria as the manufacturing hub of the nation, and provide security for domestic supply chains and industries of national importance. This will be... vital should we face another crisis like COVID in the future. Re-establishing Victoria as the manufacturing hub of the nation will help get Victoria #BackToWork. Read our full plan at www.michaelobrien.com.au

09.01.2022 Daniel Andrews has got very serious questions to answer. He promised Victorians he had never discussed an individual planning matter with developer John Woodman and yet the evidence before Victoria’s corruption watchdog tells a different story. The Premier needs to come clean. Victorians cannot afford to have a Premier who is compromised. ... It’s time for IBAC to call the Premier and get him to answer questions under oath. Let's hope he doesn’t have the same amnesia that he had before the Coate inquiry, because Victorians deserve the truth.

09.01.2022 The Andrews Labor Government has caused so much damage to business by having overly and unnecessarily harsh restrictions and closures. Victorian businesses dont want welfare. They just want the opportunity to safely reopen with a COVID-safe plan.

09.01.2022 Kym Peake is the latest head to roll in Daniel Andrews’ desperate attempt to avoid responsibility for the hotel quarantine scandal. The Heath Minister resigned in disgust and now two departmental secretaries have gone. But the blame for hotel quarantine and the second wave it caused lies with the Premier. No amount of sacrificial lambs will let Daniel Andrews avoid responsibility for the damage done to this state. ... https://www.heraldsun.com.au//8b2ec2d589063a0e963f65db9e56

09.01.2022 For many of us, driving distances (or anywhere at all!) hasn't been a feature of our past year. So if you’re travelling to see friends and family over the festive season, remember to travel safe on our roads so that you, and others, arrive alive. A few reminders to get you where you’re going, safe and sound: Take plenty of rest stops along the way driving tired is almost as bad as driving under the influence of alcohol.... Drive defensively, and know what is happening around you. Don’t check that phone while you’re driving or that smartwatch either. And remember that new rule slow down to 40 when you’re passing an emergency vehicle scene, and don’t increase your speed until you’re a safe distance from the scene. *This doesn’t apply to emergency vehicles on the opposite side of a divided road (separated by a median strip). 09.01.2022 Senior Victorians have had a tough year. Many have been separated from their loved ones their daughters, sons, grandchildren and their support networks and social groups. Our plan to get Victoria Back to Work provides more financial support for seniors through lower household bills and policy measures such as our Eat Out for Victoria program. We want to improve hospital, aged care and healthcare services for those who need it, deliver more funding for seniors’ groups and ...more resources for mental health support for those who need some extra help after this tough year. Supporting older Victorians who have already given so much to our state is part of our plan to get Victoria #BackToWork. Read our full plan at www.michaelobrien.com.au

09.01.2022 I wish our dynamic Indian community a Happy Diwali!

08.01.2022 Sometimes after a big Christmas Day, the best follow up is toast and a cup of coffee! Then a walk with the dogs and settle in for some cricket from the mighty Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG). Whatever you are doing today, enjoy. (And for those essential workers on duty today - a very big thank you )

08.01.2022 Pubs, like Paul Dimattina’s Lamaro's Hotel need our support. Restaurants, clubs, cafes and other venues across Melbourne are re-opening and ready for welcome us back. With COVID-safe plans and extensive cleaning measures in place, there are 14,833 reasons to get out and explore our amazing Victorian hospitality scene. That’s the number of bars, restaurants, cafes, clubs, pubs and taverns across Victoria in June 2019 and I hope each and every one of them is still with us ...so we can show them our support. Our tourism and hospitality sectors need our help to recover from this lockdown, and our plan to get Victoria #BackToWork would do just that, through our Eat Out for Victoria program and our Road Trip for Victoria vouchers. Supporting Victorians to embrace our hospitality industry and holiday in our own state will help our community recover. A thriving tourism and hospitality sector will help get Victoria #BackToWork. Read our full plan at www.michaelobrien.com.au

08.01.2022 Today more evidence emerged from emails and taped meetings that Daniel Andrews lied to Victorians about ADF support on offer in Victoria. Andrews said ADF support wasnt on offer. Emails and tapes prove otherwise. Victorias second wave has nothing to do with bad luck. Its all due to bad decisions by the Andrews Labor Government including the botched hotel quarantine and botched contact tracing.... How can any Victorian have confidence in a Labor Government incompetent enough to cause our second wave and dishonest enough to cover up their guilt.

07.01.2022 The Liberal Nationals believe it is time to get Victoria moving again - safely. Heres where we should start.

07.01.2022 We’ve got a jobs crisis in Victoria, with 1 in 5 Victorians out of work or without the hours they need. But if you aren’t in a construction union, this government’s budget ignores you. Labor’s budget says Victoria’s unemployment will be worse than the national average for the next 4 years.... I say Victoria deserves better. I spoke with Peta Credlin Sky News Australia last night. Watch my full interview here.

07.01.2022 The Andrews Labor Governments lockdown restrictions have forced thousands of sole traders to close down. But Labor has also excluded sole traders from the Business Support Fund. It adds insult to injury.... Gardeners, hairdressers, personal trainers and many other sole traders have been forced out of their jobs with no state government support. Without sole traders, Victoria stops. The Liberal Nationals are fighting for small business. Sign our petition at: www.SupportSoleTraders.com to tell Daniel Andrews he cant ignore Victorias sole traders any longer.

06.01.2022 Today in Parliament the Liberal Nationals attempted to ask Treasurer Tim Pallas about the appalling propaganda released yesterday by the Chinese Communist Government against our Australian soldiers. The Labor Chair of the committee stopped the question, wasting time and then wouldn't allow the Treasurer to answer. Daniel Andrews - who signed a dodgy Belt and Road deal with the Chinese Communist Government - has been in hiding and hasn't condemned this appalling slur against o...ur ADF men and women. Victorians deserve to know where their leaders stand. I’ve condemned this attack. Where does Daniel Andrews stand?

06.01.2022 Victorians have been denied their family, their friends, their jobs, their small businesses, their liberties and even their lives, tragically. We deserve better than this, because we have done everything that has been asked of us, we have made the sacrifices that have been required of us. Today was supposed to be the day the Premier gave Victorians hope.... Instead, he has truly taken away that hope and many Victorians are more despairing than ever before. Well, we deserve better than that. https://www.news.com.au///a2167fec179178743f89394bfa09f0ac

04.01.2022 The Liberal Nationals will oppose Labors proposed legislation to extend State of Emergency powers over Victorians for a further 12 months. Victorians deserve a plan out of lockdown. Labor only has a plan to keep us locked down. Victoria is only in the second wave of COVID-19 due to the inexcusable failures of the Andrews Labor Government including the botched hotel quarantine program and shortfalls in contact tracing.... Recognising that Labors mismanagement of this pandemic means that some public health measures need to continue beyond 13 September 2020, the Liberal Nationals will be proposing a number of amendments to Labors legislation that will better protect the rights of Victorians. The Liberal Nationals amendments are essential to ensure that the Andrews Labor Government does not continue to bypass Parliament and misuse these extraordinary powers in ways that damage Victorian lives and livelihoods. Five key principles include: * State Of Emergency may only be renewed on a month-by-month basis subject to Parliamentary approval in both chambers * Removal of Clause 6 of the Bill which lowers the threshold for the Chief Health Officer to exercise State of Emergency powers * Confirming that the right of Parliament to meet cannot be undermined by State of Emergency directions * Remove the proposal for current State of Emergency powers to apply even when there are no COVID-19 cases in Victoria * Any amendments to renew State of Emergency powers are only applicable to the COVID-19 pandemic. Labor must not get a blank cheque when it comes to Victorians rights. The Liberal Nationals will stand up for Victorians. Read more: https://www.michaelobrien.com.au/state-of-emergency-legisl/

04.01.2022 The Victorian Liberal Nationals have written to the Director of Public Prosecutions requesting urgent consideration of an appeal in the Jackson Williams sentencing decision. This manifestly inadequate sentence handed down to a man who dragged a nurse into an alleyway, pinned her to the ground and covered her mouth as she screamed clearly does not meet Victoria's community expectations. Victoria has a legal system.... We deserve a justice system. #springst Read more: https://www.facebook.com/ODonohueMLC/posts/2749940068586847

04.01.2022 Under Labors Stage 4 restrictions, last rites cannot be administered to the dying by priests or other faith leaders in person. Last rites should never have been restricted in this way. The dying should not be denied spiritual comfort in their final hours.... I am demanding that this cruel restriction be reversed immediately.

04.01.2022 Joined Chris Kenny on Sky News Australia this evening to discuss the failure of Daniel Andrews to deliver Victoria a roadmap out of lockdown. Also updated viewers on the Liberal Nationals plans to tackle Victorias second wave which Daniel Andrews should adopt as the highest priority.

03.01.2022 Victorians dont deserve to stay at this level of lockdown. The modellers dont support it. Public health experts dont support it. Why is Daniel Andrews imposing this on us?... Its time to ease restrictions, open up businesses safely (with COVID-Safe work plans) and get our children back into the classroom. Read more: https://www.abc.net.au//victorian-opposition-call/12658286

03.01.2022 Daniel Andrews has just given a death warrant to small business with the roadmap he announced on Sunday. Nicco and Os from Ostr have put their heart and soul into setting up their own restaurant, but Daniel Andrews closed them and thousands of other small businesses down, potentially for good. Its time for the Premier to step up and back small businesses who only want to have the chance to safely open their doors, rehire their staff and serve their community.

03.01.2022 I think Victoria wants a positive agenda to get this state back to work and back in business. In Labor’s Budget we saw an agenda of tax and debt with not enough jobs I know we can do better than that. I’m very happy to have a contest of ideas with the Labor government over the next two years.... If you have a good contest of ideas in politics then the winners will be the Victorian public. You can read my alternative positive local plan to get Victoria #BackToWork at www.michaelobrien.com.au Here's our Budget Day response, with Shadow Treasurer Louise Staley MP on 10 News First Sky News Australia 7NEWS Melbourne 9 News Melbourne

02.01.2022 There are a lot of Victorians in real estate limbo at the moment. Whether its renters and landlords, whether its people buying or selling houses, we need to keep the real estate sector open. The Liberal Nationals are calling on the Premier to change restrictions to make it easier for Victorians who wish to buy, sell and lease homes, because this is having an enormous impact on peoples lives and livelihoods.

01.01.2022 Daniel Andrews incompetence over hotel quarantine created Victorias second wave, and his unguided lockdown is prolonging the pain. Hundreds of deaths. Jobs lost. Businesses shut down. A lot of people hurt in the process. I joined Chris Kenny to discuss the latest COVID news. Let me know your thoughts below.

01.01.2022 As I told the media today, surely, every single submission the quarantine inquiry received should be made public, so that we know what’s out there. Why is the inquiry keeping submissions from the public? Why weren’t they calling these people as witnesses? Do they want to find the truth or not? We need to find what really went on. Victorians know that we only have a second wave, because of the hotel quarantine failures and Victorians must get the truth.... And if the Coate inquiry doesn’t give us the truth and doesn’t give us accountability, then it will have failed in its job. https://www.heraldsun.com.au//ce9a2fda27dfda7920488ccc4f11

01.01.2022 Peter Hartcher describes the obscenity of this Victorian Labor government. They are entirely responsible for Victorias second wave - and the deaths and devestation it has caused. But still they cling to their jobs.... Victorians will not forget. Nor will they forgive.

01.01.2022 This afternoon at the Inquiry into Labors bungled Hotel Quarantine program, we learnt Victoria only had ONE infection prevention and control specialist at DHHS at the end of March 2020. Other states supercharged their public health response, but Daniel Andrews and Jenny Mikakos cut Victorias public health team - ignoring warnings to fix it. Labor took the scalpel to the public health team in Victoria to backfill their budget mismanagement. ... Its another Labor failure that no Victorian should ever forget.

01.01.2022 The appalling propaganda released today against our Australian soldiers is from the same Chinese government whose #BeltAndRoad deal Labor’s Daniel Andrews signed us up to. #BeltAndRoad is a bad deal for Victoria. It’s why a Liberal Nationals government will scrap it.... Read more: https://www.abc.net.au//china-fake-image-australi/12934538
