23.01.2022 It’s here! Today we’re celebrating Wear Orange Wednesday, a day of thanks for the incredible work of our dedicated volunteers. Are you dressing up in orange today, or holding an event with your household to celebrate WOW Day? Let us know by tagging #thankyouSES

23.01.2022 Following the recent weather event across the state (from 14 November) , VICSES had 1,400 requests for assistance, with over 1,100 of the calls being received from midnight onwards. Thankfully our immediate local area was spared significant effects in this case, but our local unit was ready to go if requests came in. Current forecasts indicate a good possibility of a wetter than normal summer, so we encourage everyone to be prepared, and if needed, to call VICSES on 132500 fo...r storm related assistance. These pics are from the Lilydale and Nillumbik Units from their responses during the 14 & 15th November. A difficult time for the households affected, but great that SES can respond to assist.

22.01.2022 Being a VICSES volunteer is only possible through the support of family and employers, allowing our volunteers to support the community 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. Want to be a part of our family? Join us: www.ses.vic.gov.au/volunteer

19.01.2022 As we head into these last couple of shopping weeks before the big guy in the red suit visits, it's important to know the hours of all the services you might ne...ed. While we hope you don't need our services, here are our hours for your reference. Please note them carefully as we would hate for you to be disappointed by trying to contact us when we're not serving our community. We're on 132 500, operators standing by to take your call!

15.01.2022 It's been a busy time this week with training and updates of training. With significant wet weather forecast we needed to have as many members as possible geared to be able to respond in various ways but particularly in rooftop capabilities. Some of our newer and younger members were learning this skill for the first time. All such skills are to help the community in time of need.

11.01.2022 Our members have been hard at work training in various ways. This week we had one team training on road rescue while another trained separately on trees & chainsaws. Well done to all members involved - a cold night & keeping to distancing rules, all to help keep our community safe.

10.01.2022 A very kind lady in Maryborough has made and donated reusable masks for all members of our unit. This is greatly appreciated.A very kind lady in Maryborough has made and donated reusable masks for all members of our unit. This is greatly appreciated.

06.01.2022 Though we continue to serve the community by being available 24/7, today we enjoyed a Christmas BBQ to Mark the end of year for training & to celebrate what has been a hard year for many people. Thanks to Dirk & Terri at the Golden Country Motel & Caravan Park for giving us such a great venue. Though a callout occurred during our time it was still very enjoyable. https://goldencountry.com.au/ Well done to all our SES members who give so much to the community.
