16.01.2022 This was our recent project for Ducon Building Solutions at Metro Trains disaster recovery site in Fitzroy. We erected a lift shaft frame and first floor bridge/landing, and also modified the existing stair level. 16.01.2022 Beautiful blue skies and sunshine this morning at our Helm Apartments project for @_foursqprojects. This is the level 4 eyebrow canopy steelwork that we have installed over the last two weeks during the challenging stage 4 lockdown conditions in Melbourne. An incredible amount of work went into protection of the majestic windows above and below where this canopy was installed, with the significant site welding required. It was worth it in the end with absolutely no damaged ...windows! Normally we would have had this steel installed in a couple of days, however with the current restrictions on worker numbers, it has slowed us down a lot! Due to stage 4 covid building site staff no. restrictions, the slab has not been able to be poured as would normally be the case. Fortunately with a quick call to @allstaraccess, instead of the scissors we had booked, we had a 45’ Boomlift delivered, so we could erect the steel directly over the bondek! 04.01.2022 Here are some photos during the construction of the absolutely amazing architectural lift shaft frame and surrounding stair that we installed late last year at our Pacific House project for @schiavelloconstruction . This masterpiece was a very challenging structure to detail, fabricate and install. Over 5 levels, we installed modular sections of this lift shaft as the slab was poured at each level, along with the steel staircase and balustrade that wraps around it! ... The curved sections shown in the photos, were fabricated from rolled 250 PFC’s, which were then fully welded back together and ground flush to create a box section, as RHS in the required size and thickness could not be successfully rolled.
