I decided I needed to meet some people and Sarah was one of the girls who took me under her wing when I joined the local hockey team - Violet Femmes. 01.01.2022 On the blog... Emily & Chris's Wedding adventure at Stonebarn A couple after my own heart! Emily & Chris’s wedding was beautiful with a few quirky extras thrown in for good measure. The couple chose Stonebarn because they love the forest and nature. Combining luxury and natural beauty in WA’s South West Pemberton Manjimup region, Stonebarn offers a unique wedding venue and accommodation for 16 with breathtaking views of the forest, truffiére and river. The flowers were done ...by Emily’s very talented Grandmother. And the hot pink bridal car was her late Grandpa’s. Emily wore her pink hiking socks which she was wearing whilst hiking when Chris proposed. This wedding was designed with thought and sentiment. After a traditional ceremony with awesome celebrant Luke Firth and some family pics, the wedding party and guests headed back to Stonebarn for cocktails (Espresson martinis!) at Charlie & Collette’s barovan owned by Mint Events Co and the beginning of the scavenger hunt. To mark the start of this, guests had to pick their own horribly outrageous tie off the fence and put on either the bride or the groom. Then we went off on our photo ‘adventure’ which was actually quite adventurous. Just as well I brought my four wheel drive, and my husband had given me a 4wdriving lesson prior, or I would have been bogged. We headed down to the river, and after a few snaps, the guys sat down and enjoyed a breather and a bit of a picnic. It was after this that Emily revealed her ‘dress buddy’ I have never seen one of these but what a great idea. Its a simple petticoat which you lift up and stuff your dress inside. Ideal for the adventuring bride and certainly a necesity for this one. We got back in the cars, and drove to Stonebarn’s beautiful old rickety bridge. I am so thankful to the dress buddy for making this possible as I adore the shots under the bridge. The shoot finished on the jetty and then we made our way to the reception. The long table on the veranda was absolutely stunning. Emily & Chris had hired their gorgeous furniture from Yallingup Event Hire The food was to die for thanks to The Golden Roast. As we proceeded into the night, Emily & Chris got the dance floor going by performing an exceptional dance. DJ Ado put on some bangers then Nana put everyone to shame by showing how it was done! Thank you for being so much fun guys. And for winning the prize for being the most prepared adventuring wedding couple ever! I hope you have a long and happy life together. Victoria. x.
