14.01.2022 Martin Collins Australia Victorian Jumping Rider of the Year 2020 While there’s only one person’s name that goes on the plaque, achievements like this can never be earned in isolation. There are so many people who have contributed towards Russell’s achievement of this award. Firstly, none of this would be possible without Melanie. Your patience, unwavering support and absolute care of the horses and all of us is more appreciated than you know. ... Giselle and Monique, we are so lucky to be able to participate in a sport together as a family as competitors and supporters. Thank you for traversing across the countryside and never being far away to lend a hand. Adele, thank you for all of your help in preparing the horses at home, understanding their nuisances and having them sparkling as they head to the shows. A huge thank you also to Grace for your work, humour and being super groom in 2019-2020. It is a dream come true to ride for outstanding owners who have exceptionally talented and great natured horses, put the interests of the horses first every time and are wonderful people.
