12.01.2022 Hello All Good news. Thanks to Kate we have managed to avoid a ballot for A Course Sheep Saturday Feb 29th. I HAVE A REQUEST FOR A COURSE SHEEP ENTRIES.... I am asking for FIVE of you to please volunteer and change your day to Sunday March 1st for your A Course runs. This will balance out the number of sheep runs each day and have less stress on the sheep. It will also shorten the day on Saturday (we are running all three stock that day and only one stock on the Sunday). Could also mean less cranky sheep at the end of the day! I am in the middle of doing the program so please will volunteers message me asap. Thankyou

We need to know by Sunday 5th so we can plan catering etc. Can you please let us know by emailing to [email protected] asap please.

08.01.2022 THE VICTORIAN HERDING COMMUNITY ARE A WONDERFUL GROUP OF PEOPLE. A Huge THANKYOU to everyone who offered to swap their runs to Sunday to make life easier for the stock. I have accepted 5 and sent messages confirming the swaps. Once again, I cannot thank you all enough. Your friendly, slightly harassed, neighbourhood Trial Secretary.

06.01.2022 An email has gone to all financial members today, to advise notification of the AGM. If you believe you are a financial member and do not receive the email, please let us know. We try to keep records up to date, but occasionally things change and we may have missed it if you have tweaked your email address. Thank you.

06.01.2022 IMPORTANT NOTICE. I have had several emails enquiring about the May Herding Trials in light of the decision by DV to suspend all sanctioned events etc. As you all know, DV is revisiting this decision on April 15th and will inform us then as to how long the suspension may be expected last. When we hear from them we will let you know if May 16th/17th can go ahead. I would suggest you not look to put in your entries until after the April 15th update.... Sue Hughes (Trial Secretary). 06.01.2022 Congratulations to everyone who entered the VHA trials at Nyora this weekend. A great group of people, some amazing dogs, some cattle / sheep / ducks and good weather. What more can you need for a good weekend. With a large number of entries we had a very long day yesterday, and then came back for an even earlier start today (to beat the heat). Thankyou to Kate and Alan for welcoming us to their property. Thankyou to Judges Ross, Denise and Garry for sharing their wealth o...f knowledge and expertise with us all. Thankyou to everyone who everyone who stepped in to help with stock, course construction etc to make the weekend run smoothly. Thankyou to everyone who entered ....... without your entries we have absolutely nothing. Finally, thankyou to Daniel and Tim for the delicious BBQs they cooked up ..... raising money for cancer research. I think the highlight of the day for us all was watching our Junior handler, Billy Dourley, working the sheep round the B Course with his dog Chip (Rozate Oregon Spotted Frog HSMAs HSBs). Well done Billy. As Trial Secretary I am so glad that the ANKC removed the need for countback in the event of a tied score. We had a 4 way tie for First place in one class and a 2 way tie in another class. See you all at the next trials.

If you know of any member who has achieved this, but does not normally access this facebook page, will you please pass on the message to them. Thankyou Sue
