12.01.2022 In her report on the Child Protection residential care system, the Ombudsman has recommended the Government: - commence conversion of standard four-bed residential care units to therapeutic two-bed units with enhanced access for children to services, particularly mental health and education - consider establishing an independent advocate for children in care within the Commission for Children & Young People.... 09.01.2022 'Future Dreamingvisions of the future' is the latest virtual exhibition by The Torch. It features artworks created within prisons during COVID-19. In 2015 Ombudsman Deborah Glass successfully recommended artists be able to keep proceeds from sales of their work. Take a look at the virtual exhibition below.
