22.01.2022 Today as Planning Minister, I announced that existing pubs, restaurants, cafes and other food and drink venues can use existing outdoor spaces, as well as nearb...y parks and public land to accommodate and serve patrons without the need for a planning permit. We understand this has been an incredibly challenging time for our hospitality venues and these exemptions will help to make sure the transition to COVID safe dining is as easy as possible. The exemptions, to be made under planning amendment VC139 and published in the government gazette now, will allow venues to capitalise on open spaces including streets, footpaths and carparks to add to venue capacity while restrictions reduce the number of patrons allowed for indoor dining. Businesses covered by the exemptions include restaurants, cafes, bars, hotels, function and reception centres and wineries. 21.01.2022 Outdoor dining will be a way for this summer. Check it out.

21.01.2022 VSBA and the city Yarra were working to plan for outdoor eating on Victoria street. This is to help the Victoria street restaurants who have limited or no outdoor space can trade in the back of 218-220 Victoria car park. More to come for the Nicholson carpark! Bring your trailer, table and chairs to trade. We will get the lights and music from November till end of January. Email [email protected] - Traders first please! Tag your favourite restaurant you know who need outdoor space!

18.01.2022 Victoria Street needs a bit more love. The government and the Yarra council are happy to put an injecting room. Millions of dollars spent; however, druggies still stay on our street. Over the last four elections, they haven’t found a solution. Shake up the system with permits and create a place for them to stay so we can do business. Share now! ng ph cn mt chút chm sóc. 17.01.2022 Victorian businesses continue to play an important role in keeping our state safe and open. As part of your COVIDSafe Plan, recording the contact details of everyone who attends your workplace or venue for more than 15 minutes (including staff) supports contact tracing. The Victorian Government’s QR Code Service makes record keeping simple.... It’s free and easy to use. 1. Register your business. 2. Download, print and display your QR code. 3. Get customers to check in by scanning the code with the camera or QR code reader on their smart phone. How does the Victorian Government QR code work? Customers scan the QR code and enter their contact details. The data is securely stored on Service Victoria servers which means businesses don’t have to store the data themselves. If a person with coronavirus (COVID-19) has visited your venue or workplace, contact tracers will be able to quickly contact everyone who may have been exposed, which helps slow the spread of the virus. Data is only stored for 28 days and only accessed if there is a positive case of coronavirus (COVID-19). The Victorian Government QR code service is not mandatory and hospitality businesses may continue to use, or choose to use, another QR code system. Stay safe and stay open Every business that is open must have a COVIDSafe Plan and follow the six COVIDsafe principles to help keep customers, employees and our community safe. For more information, please visit https://www.coronavirus.vic.gov.au/creating-a-covidsafe-wor For more information about record keeping requirements visit: https://www.coronavirus.vic.gov.au/record-keeping-contact-t

10.01.2022 Attention with Victoria street businesses. We have been speaking to council. Now applications are open for hospitality businesses in Yarra to expand their outdoor dining plus you can get $5k from the government to support your outdoor dining. This could include: . using the footpath space in front of neighbouring properties... . using the on-street car parking bay(s) directly outside your business closing laneways and side streets . using council-owned outdoor land (such as parks or gardens) using outdoor private property (such as a carpark on your property) . Please read the guidelines before applying. Please note you will need to get the application in ASAP as the council may run out of support as their budget as many other people would apply. If you get any question or support, you can speak to Ha 0408 217 899 (Victoria Street Business Association) SHARE OR TAG NOW!

01.01.2022 "It's time to open Victoria. Our businesses and traders can’t survive! We put everything in our businesses and the government can’t shut us down just because they muck up with the quarantine. It’s been 6-7 months of debts! ...
