19.01.2022 Viet Next Door signature ‘Flavours of Vietnam Bo Kho Gnocchi’. It’s been a good 6 months just before the lock down began in South Australia since I have cooked this hearty dish. As I cook this dish today, I am saddened and have a feeling of numbness as I reflect on what is happening around the world. I feel very thankful to be able to cook this wholesome dish. It will be available to our guests dining with us tonight and tomorrow. With the idea during Covid, Linda decided to share her passion for fine food, wine and Champagne to those nearest to her and her family as well as customers and friends. She and Ben knew that everyone would forget the challenges of the year and escape to an enjoyable, interactive and informative dinners, all of which, turned out to be memorable and amazing experie...nces. We were thrilled to have our wonderful friend, champagne expert Steve Dundon of Champagne XS and Sidewood Estate host our fourth Champagne Degustation Dinner of our exclusive series last Thursday evening. Each of the dinners are unique and showcase different wines and vintages. For champagne lovers, this sold out dinner showcased some iconic and rare cuvees which were perfectly matched with a degustation of our exquisite Vietnamese cuisin...e. One of the many highlights of the evening would have to be the rare 2002 G.H. Mumm Cuvee R Lalou RD which has spent 17 years on lees, the last bottles in the country. The evening started with some stunning Sparklings - 2015 Chloe, 2015 Cassandra & 2014 Isabella from Sidewood Estate Wines and moved on to some of the finest and rare prestige cuvees, including the 2008 Perrier-Jouet Belle Epoque Luminous Magnums, NV GH Mumm RSRV Foujita Rose, 2010 Perrier-Jouet Belle Epoque Rose, 2017 Laroche Les Blanchots Grand Cru Chablis and finished off with what we think is one of the worlds finest wines; the 2004 Chateau dYquem! It was truly an incredible evening with our beautiful guests who made it very special! 05.01.2022 Viet Next Door signature Flavours of Vietnam Bo Kho Gnocchi. Its been a good 6 months just before the lock down began in South Australia since I have cooked this hearty dish. As I cook this dish today, I am saddened and have a feeling of numbness as I reflect on what is happening around the world. I feel very thankful to be able to cook this wholesome dish. It will be available to our guests dining with us tonight and tomorrow. 04.01.2022 We had the pleasure of having Champagne expert, Steve Dundon from Sidewood Estate and Champagne XS host an exclusive Champagne and Sparkling Degustation Dinner last Thursday 16th July at Viet Next Door. It was an unforgettable evening with an incredible line up of French and Adelaide Hills (Sidewood) bubbles matched with signature cuisine from both Vietnam Restaurant and Viet Next Door. Featuring a few prestigious and exquisite cuvees, some of which were exclusive to our even...t. The evening took us through the unique qualities of both French and Australian bubbles while diving into the story of some of the worlds most famous Champagne houses. And who better than part owner of Champagne XS, Steve to share these fascinating tales with our fabulous guests. The night then turned into so much fun with the education of sabrage. A few of our gorgeous guests were even game enough to do a few sabering themselves! A truly unique and memorable dining experience. A special thank you to our dear friend Steve, Chris who helped source exclusive bottles, Blossom Box Co. for the gorgeous blooms, Style Hire Events for the custom balloons and most of all our fabulous guests for making our exclusive event a success! 03.01.2022 To All Our Loyal and Valued Customers, The Phan Family and Staff at Vietnam Restaurant & Viet Next Door is closely monitoring and responding to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic with the health and safety of our people and communities as top priority. There is currently no interruption to our restaurants and we will remain open for service unless otherwise advised whilst closely monitoring the situation and strictly adhering to advice and guidance supplied by the Australian Gover...nment Department of Health. While we have always adhered to strict hygiene practices and cleaning standards, as another precaution, we have introduced additional measures to reduce any risk. As a result, the following actions have been taken: - Regular sanitising throughout service of commonly handled objects like door handles, chairs, telephone, POS monitors, EFTPOS terminal, menus and similar. - Ensuring staff remain at home if they feel unwell for any reason. - We have removed existing tables and chairs to provide as much distance as possible between tables. - All high contact areas have been fitted with hand sanitizers with a minimum of 70% Ethanol Base content. For the safety and health of our team and community, we are also asking all of our customers to practice good general hygiene, and if feeling unwell, we ask you to please reschedule your booking. We have also recently launched our own delivery service this week, with our own team delivering our delicious food to your doorstep or work place at our normal prices! No mark up! We will continue to monitor the situation and guidance supplied by the Australian Government Dept of Health and update you with any developments, sharing any chance with you via our social media platforms. Until we are advised otherwise, we will continue to remain open and fully operational.
