25.01.2022 Don't forget that Vijay will be serving his delicious Devonshire Teas again tomorrow - only $8.50 for home-made scones with a tea or coffee... The forecast is for a mostly sunny day with a maximum temperature of 17 degrees....perfect weather for a visit to Strathnairn!

24.01.2022 One of our lovely customers took a few moments to provide us with feedback after a visit to Strathnairn Homestead Cafe last week (we love hearing from our customers - so we very much appreciated her email): "Just wanted to let you know that we all had a wonderful time at Strathnairn. Some of our party had not been there before and they thought it was a hidden treasure. The pizzas were awesome and all your staff were so obliging. Thank you again for an amazing day".

24.01.2022 Good afternoon everyone - and happy Sunday! Vijay has the wood-fired oven fired up today and pizzas are on the menu! It's a lovely day to be heading out to Strathnairn to enjoy some sunshine if you can make it. We are also excited to be able to let you know that in response to ongoing requests from our patrons, our wood-fired pizzas will also now be available on Saturdays. 20.01.2022 Good evening to our loyal followers! There are two things for us to tell you. Firstly, we are pleased to be open on Thursdays as of tomorrow. Thursday openings may become a permanent arrangement, we will see what feedback we receive over the next few months. Vijay will be offering Devonshire Teas and customers can enjoy delicious home-made scones and a tea or coffee for $8.50. Secondly, the Cafe is fully booked for Fathers Day on Sunday. For those who booked early, we look forward to seeing you out there! For any of you who may have missed out, we'd still love to see you either tomorrow, Friday or Saturday, or perhaps you can pop out during another weekend really soon. Spring certainly suits Strathnairn, its just lovely out there at the moment! Catch you soon...

"One of Canberra’s most well kept family-friendly dining spots is the Strathnairn Cafe and Arts Centre in Holt. Set in a converted 1920s homestead on the north-western outskirts of Canberra, there is loads of space for kids to run around (9.5 hectares, to be precise) or just throw down a rug for the little ones. And there are wood fired pizzas on Sundays!"

14.01.2022 Friends! We know we are only in Septemberhowever we are starting to receive enquiries regarding Christmas parties at the Strathnairn Homestead Café. The Café will be open for celebrations between 10am 4pm each Thursday to Sunday in the lead up to Christmas. Whilst we don’t offer a traditional Christmas Menu as such, we have hosted a number of celebrations over the years using the Strathnairn Homestead Café Catering Menu which may be accessed by groups. Please let us know if you are interested in booking in your Christmas celebration or simply in reviewing a copy of our Catering Menu. The Strathnairn Homestead is then in its annual shutdown period from 22 December 2014 31 January 2015 (inclusive). For more information, please contact us via email: [email protected].

Another patron wrote It was perfect. We love the sculptures and the animals for the kids, and got to show off Canberra to some relatives visiting from America. We love being able to provide our customers with a great experience we hope to see you at the Strathnairn Homestead soon :)

07.01.2022 Hi everyone! We are sad to inform you that Vijay has decided to leave the Strathnairn Homestead Cafe. Vijay and his team will be at the Cafe on Thursdays through to Sundays until 21 December 2014. If you would like to make a booking or have a special request for one of Vijay's dishes (such as a delicious curry), please let us know and, as he always does, Vijay will do his very best to accommodate. We have had a wonderful year and look forward to an even better 2014. Thanks also for your well wishes on the birth of our son Max earlier in the year! He is a happy and healthy baby and we love him more with every day that passes :) We wish you and your families a safe and happy Christmas and all the very best for 2014. ... 04.01.2022 All of our members and friends are invited to Strathnairn this afternoon to celebrate another successful year! There will be champagne and nibbles on the lawns of Strathnairn Homestead from 5pm - 7pm. The celebrations will coincide with the opening of CHRISTMAS MAGIC a pop-up shop featuring an array of original artworks including glass, paper, jewellery, ceramics, handmade books, textiles, recycled art, prints and paintings made by local and regional artists. We hope to see you there!

02.01.2022 Our delicious wood-fired pizzas are on the menu today and it's a beautiful day to visit the Strathnairn Homestead Café! Come and check out 'Painting with Poetry' which is an exhibition of recent artwork by the Painting with Parkinsons group. The exhibition features some lovely art and runs until next Sunday 3rd November 2013. If you are heading to the Café please take a moment to book as the exhibition is proving very popular :)
