12.01.2022 I've just come back from a fabulously creative weekend at DONNELLY RIVER with some 20 other like minded people. We all had an arts project we were working on. T...he purpose was to see how far we could take it and in what direction. It's hard to describe how inspired I feel! Not just with ideas but with renewed energy to pursue my passion - THEATRE. What set it apart is the amount of individual attention we received. Thank you to Fiona from BREC for organising it. And the calibre of Mentors!! My group leader has worked at Bell Shakespeare, Barking Gecko, Last Great Hunt, and lots lots lots more. I could rave lots more. If Brec does it again, DO IT. 07.01.2022 WANTED: Four actors. I'm directing a short play for Shorelines. Quokka is written by David Rawet. It's a comedy which leaves it's punchline to the last. Needed are a woman and a men Mid 30s to 40s, and a woman and a man 40s to 50. PM me Sharon Kennedy here or on my page. Or leave a comment. This is Les in funny mode and we know how funny that is. Auditions will be held early November. PARTS Gloria 60s... Greg her son, 30ish Sarah her daughter, a little younger Pastor Steven, flex between 30s and 60s Jill, Sarah's friend Mario, Greg's friend. Has Italian heritage Laurence, Sarah's ex. Could be 30s, early 40s. SYNOPSIS Gloria needs to see her children married. Her children show no signs of moving out of home.
