24.01.2022 ... not quite true. I do believe in fact there is generally always a winner . In case you’re still not following - The winner is me.

23.01.2022 OMG... sooo true. Except Add 8 hrs of home schooling mum And then you’ve still got to put on your ‘they’re home from school’ hat & throw them 100 snacks as they walk in the door (aka leave the dining table ... & enter the lounge room)

23.01.2022 You start to realise you're at a new level of ISO when your best friend is a Mantis called BOB! I do apologise - social distancing was clearly not being practised here. You can blame BOB - he's a very cuddly guy.

21.01.2022 January 13 2021 Holiday popsicle wading ‘Hey Bro...’ ‘Hey Bro...’ ... Fair to say we spent A LOT of time swimming/ jumping/ floating on popsicles this week. Last pool photo I promise

21.01.2022 January 11 2021 Floating pool frog What could be better than a fat little pool frog bobbing up & down in his life jacket with his eyes closed ... And for those wondering - yes. Yes I did get in the pool chest deep with my camera to take this photo with no underwater housing I did actually spend a lot of time in the pool with my camera in one arm raised above my head - it’s okay, ppl think I am strange, but that’s just because they can’t see my vision See more

19.01.2022 The monochrome awards for 2020 were announced today - Congratulations must go to the winners and top 30 finalists. Art and photography is such a hard and personal medium to judge and be judged upon. My 6 entries into this years competition all came up with highly commended awards, which is through to the second shortlist before entering top 30. Thank you to digidirect, Capture, Australian Photography and all the sponsors for this awesome nod to my black & white portrait work. In what has been a long and halted year for myself and all photographers - any love is much appreciated.

07.01.2022 Yay Thanks to the AIPP & all our combined efforts - Victoria now finally has a mask exemption in place for our families when photographing them!!!? Now we just need metro Melbourne to open back up & we can be back shooting as normal. Keep your eyes peeled my Melbourne families - I’ve missed you all so much & cannot wait to get back to real life ... I’ll be advertising some specials as soon as we have more info on opening dates See more

06.01.2022 January 15 2021 20 photo portrait limit After spending a big week out & about galavanting around the city ... today was just about a simple photo of H. The kids know what I am like, they know ‘one more photo’ is a total lie every time. Unfortunately now they’re getting smart too - they count the bloody shutter clicks.... I stuck to my word here, I only took 24 photos of H... & way more than 4 didn’t count because he kept looking away or blinking See more

06.01.2022 This year I again entered Australasia's Top Emerging Photographers hosted by Capture Magazine. The Top Emerging Photographers Award recognises emerging photographers both in Australia & New Zealand and in its 12th year running had a massive 32% rise in entries from 2019 alone. The competition is open for approx 6 months to collect entries and therefore saw thousands of entries received that were then judged by a panel of 34 industry experts from Australia and overseas. This ...year - I entered the Portrait & Art categories and was lucky enough to be awarded 'Highly Commended' results in both categories - which is just outside a Top 30 result. My Portfolio 'Boy and Bears' received Highly Commended in the Portrait Category, while my Portfolio 'Body and Beach' received a Highly Commended in the Art Category and also received Commended in the Portrait Category. Thank you so much to Capture and everyone involved with Australasia's Top Emerging Photographers for 2020 - it is a humbling honour to have your work stand out among so many incredible photographers!

We've ditched the spanish and maths and decided on an arts major. God I heart him - Look at that camera hold ... We also teach old school 'viewfinder' composition at Amber's School of Photography. none of this 'live view touch screen crap' My boy will learn properly if he wants to play with mummy's expensive toys ~

02.01.2022 January 12 2021 Lion Heart Graffiti Boy I love our Melbourne Town, the hustle and bustle, the original melbourne tram rolling by, the cobble stones and the secret cafe laneways! ... Nana suggested I show him our graffiti art & what a smart nana she is. We wandered up and down, I made him stop and look and appreciate all the ‘art’ . All the while explaining to him that not all graffiti is bad & done by naughty people ... And then when he was totally over posing and art watching I rolled my ankle on an uneven cobble stone . Totally worth it! ROAAAAAR See more

01.01.2022 I had such a nice change of pace last weekend. Such a beautifully refreshing shoot with great colours and even better company! These are just a few of my favourites.
