25.01.2022 Yep, that time of the year, all the tasty amps come in for their up check-up...check this babe .....1952 Deluxe 5B3 Shess older than me.....but doesnt get grumpy I do...absolutely gorgeous ...

24.01.2022 TESTIMONIAL Tweed 57 Deluxe #101 .."Hi Dean, the Tweed Deluxe is awesome! I just wanted to thank you for the immaculate build quality and most importantly the fantastic tweed tones. This amp really nails the classic small amp tweed tones that I have been chasing for years. The Weber was a great speaker choice and is sounding better by the day as it continues to break in. I was jamming with a bunch of guys the other days and got lots of compliments on my guitar tone and I can assure you that wasnt because of my playing ability! My only issue has been settling on one of the many sweet spots that are available with the 2 volume and tone control. Talk about spoilt by choice. Thanks again for another fantastic amp " Brad Dreis . Qld

24.01.2022 Just a quick update from the factory. We have been quite busy tout late Jan and tout Feb . Theres no doubt that production of our little gems has kicked up a gear. The word is definately spreading far and wide .Weve even starting shipping amps across the ditch to our Kiwi mates. Shipping to NZ is not that expensive ...from $150 for the smaller amps upto $200-$250 for the larger types.....and you get to save 10% gst. Something that Id like to share with you is one fact th...at were extremely proud of. It is the number of people who own not one but two of our amps , the number is up to about 15 ...its quite a testament to the quality of product we produce. And these people defineately know their sound.Below is just a quick look at two of our most popular amps ..the 65 Princeton & the 65 Deluxe Reverb...beautiful tones , depth , character .... 22.01.2022 QUICK UPDATE..While things are moving on quite nicely here , its always great to sell an amp and put a smile on the dial of the buyer. Whats better and is the icing on the cake is when the buyer comes back shortly after and buys a second amp...I cant complain cos it happens quite often...how goods that!.. Adelaide guitarist Benny Brown bought a LM 65 Dlx Rev about 2 months ago...so impressed was Benny he came back and purchased a 57 Tweed Deluxe....Benny writes.. "One word, a...wesome! I love it man, different pony, same great stable! I should also give special mention to Brad in Qld...he takes the cake hes bought 3! Actually I just remembered, the grand champion is Melb. session guitarist Dave Herzog....hes owned 4!..and last time I spoke to him ..he wants to buy another one!

22.01.2022 SERVICE DEPT. For the vintage amp aficionados , a few vintage gems that have hit the service bench over the last week. 1. 58 Tweed Bassman with original Jensens ...amazing 2. 57 Ampeg Rocket, loaded with Astron Reds coupling/tone caps...tone heaven 3.Gibson Skylark...light-weight amp but they sound good 4.Gibson Skylark GA5. loaded with black beauty caps and vintage jensen spkr. very sweet.... 5.Tweed Princeton..unfortunately doesnt have the original speaker .Loaded with a C8R ceramic jensen...shouldve been alnico, they sound much better in tweeds. So whats the pick of the bunch. Ill give it a tie between the 58 Bassman and the Ampeg.

22.01.2022 TESTIMONIAL #0114 LM 65 DLX REV #0116 LM 57 TWD DLX "Hi Dean,Benny B here. I just wanted to send you something to help tone junkies like myself understand why I bought not 1 but 2 of your master-built Lucas Miles amps. So Id just finished a gig and Im chatting with a mate regarding amp tone. Hes a well known player and were discussing how great the sound is from an original 1965 Blackface Deluxe Reverb. I said to him its amazing the tone of those old amps and he remar...ked what, those old amps that were only a couple of years old when they recorded with them?!. I thought holy sh*t hes right! Those amps were practically brand new when they created those landmark tones, why would I want a 50 year old museum piece when I can have EXACTLY what they had at the time! I spent 3 months researching all the various builders and found that your unswerving dedication to build quality and authenticity was unsurpassed. On top of that add amazing reviews, your patience with my many questions and that was it - I ordered my Deluxe Reverb. What a truly MAGNIFICENT amp. Everything I wanted and more. Classic BF chime with a lush vibrato that just transports me when I play. Its absolutely fantastic and its all there to be dialled in, this thing is a tonal weapon! I highly recommend this amp to anyone that is looking for true BF vintage tone. JUST BUY IT YOU WILL NOT BE DISSAPOINTED! So how did I end up with two Lucas Miles beauties? Well, I played with a 57 Tweed Deluxe years ago that someone had made from a kit. It was severely lacking in all areas, kinda gutless but I could feel there was something there I liked. After my amazing experience with what you do I wasnt going anywhere else. I ordered my 57 Tweed Deluxe. OMG I cannot stop playing through it. The tone is OFF THE CHAIN!!! Your speaker selection is nothing more inspired. Jazzy tones down in the basement wind it up a little and were into creamy breaking blues, crank it and just soar with that pure unadulterated vintage Tweed growl. OH MY LORD!! So, which is my favourite. Ahh Jeez - like I said, same stable different ponys man. They are both the epitome and pinnacle of their class but one things for sure they are the finest amplifiers Ive ever had the pleasure of playing through." Benny B .Adelaide See more

20.01.2022 Heres another rarity currently gracing our service dept. A Park amp from the mid sixties. Built by Jim Marshall for a Brit music chain which due to licensing agreements couldnt stock the Marshall brand . Its basically a JTM45 re-branded. This is only the 2nd one weve seen in 20yrs. How does it sound, f........ awesome!

20.01.2022 Hi All...heres the LM 57 Bandmaster demo...with Brett Burgs Kingman. https://youtu.be/w2iIK_4M9cE

19.01.2022 CHECK IT OUT. Brett Kingman takes our beautiful 64 Vibroverb for a spin Enjoy! https://youtu.be/tsCZjebYors

18.01.2022 PRODUCT HIGHLIGHT!! A 64 Vibroverb #0098 in Blonde /Beige., on its way across the ditch. Looking at the rear the glorious 15" Weber California sits slightly off centre to accomodate the larger output transformer we use ...a Mercury Magnetics Blackface Bassman 50w.just like SRV.

18.01.2022 TESTIMONIAL LM PRINCETON REVERB # 0103 "Hi Dean,...So I waited until after the honeymoon period to write this note to you. The LM Vintage 65 Princeton Reverb (in a tweed suit...) has completely blown me away, I have fallen in love with this thing. It has all the classic princeton characteristics I was chasing but just more of everything - a full, luscious bloom and a presence, makes you wanna just keep playing. Deceptively loud - although a 10 inch speaker and small cab size... - the way the amp fills the room is just magic. The reverb is incredible and the trem is just so right - I leave it on with intensity and speed on around 3 for just a smidge of movement. Sounds at home w acoustic of electrics - just impossible to get a bad tone. Pedals or straight in - feels like you cant miss. I have been lucky enough to play some great amps from all ends of the spectrum - ac30s, tweed fenders, twins and bassmans, old ampegs, matchless - and on and on... but NONE touch this amp.The craftsmanship and build quality is impeccable. It just has has some special magic to it and I am very VERY grateful to be the owner. Thanks again Dean - you make supreme guitar amplifiers!!! " P.Orr NSW See more

17.01.2022 Just a quick update from the bench. Weve made a start on the Tweed Deluxe 5E3s. Have 2 underway, built with slightly different coupling/tone caps. The Blue Synergy Royals in one and the Sozo mustards in the other. Each will sound wonderful but will have slightly different tonal textures.

17.01.2022 On the bench, almost complete a LM Vibrolux Reverb , on its way to sydney. Just want to highlite the new tone & coupling caps we use,Synergy Royal Blues ...there the long blue tubular components on the board , very much responsible for the tone & depth of the amp.We used to use sozo blues and sozo nexgens , but the royal blues which we had produced in collaboration with Synergy amps have far better tone textures and depth , very much like the blue molded types in vintage fenders.

16.01.2022 And from our service bench, a 63 Brownface Deluxe , that somehow lost its original cab along the way. Otherwise shes beautifully original, genuine export model , has the glorious Oxford 12K5 spkr which is still in good shape. She will get the full treatment , a new cab , new fliter and cathode bypass capacitors and the main board will get the full clean up, all solder joints will redone , also the O/P transformer will be rewound, the old one was putting out about 2 watts

16.01.2022 Gday all...just a quick update on whats happening around here in these extremely fucked up times..We are probably luckier than most in the sense we can continue to build amps , with orders in the pipeline we are probably an exception .. the fact is we are extremely busy. For those of you who might have lost their jobs and gigs..lets hope its only for the short term. Ok heres a quick highlite from our production line...a LM 57 5E7 Tweed Bandmaster..which we have relicd. We are now producing the larger tweed amps in finger jointed pine cabs with the genuine tweed cloth which gets a few coats of shellac then dragged around the block a few times! What do you think??

15.01.2022 PRODUCT UPDATE!! Just coming off the bench, the first of our 57 5E3 Tweed Deluxes. #0101.

14.01.2022 QUESTION.. We do get alot of enquiries regarding Champ builds, but have hesistated because of the cost effectiveness of the build. But now we are giving it a second thought . I need your input , if we went ahead what would be preferential ...either the 65 Blackface Vibro Champ or the Tweed 5F1 Champ.Pricewise they'd probably go out at about $1200-$1400. Let me know your thoughts.

13.01.2022 ok...so what did you do over easter?? Well Ive could of gone away and got drunk every night like some people I know...then felt like shit for the next seven days or I could of stayed at home and built amps ...yes we did the latter. And what fun it is ..just built our first 5E3 57 Tweed Deluxe...to hear this little hot babe on the bench sends shivers up my spine...very hot & gainy but what a rock sound , the breakup ..the thickness of tone...weve nailed it, its right in the f...... zone! Happy Easter to all

13.01.2022 TESTIMONIAL LM 64 VIBROVERB #0105. "Hi Dean, just wanted to write to say thanks for building my Vibroverb, lm very happy with the amp, it produces the sweetest tone and is so responsive in its eq stage, l really like the mid control on this amp, its a useable addition. The build quality and the finish is second to none and speaks of the thought and care that has gone in to its production, thanks again Dean".......ps.. the blackface mod on my 76 vibrolux has made that amp amazing, cheers Glen Walker.

13.01.2022 Happy New Year and wishing everyone a great 2019. Just got back from a quick holiday oseas and now back on the bench, producing our first amp for 2019, a 63 brownface deluxe for Archie in Adelaide , to put along side his LM 63 Vibroverb.

11.01.2022 UPDATE FROM THE BENCH. Just a quick hello from the workshop. Contrary to whats going on , we've sold record number of amps over the last couple of months..Souldiggers , Tweed Deluxes & 63 Deluxes all seem to hitting the spot. Meanwhile the pic attached should have been of 5E3 chassis' but a blunder by our US supplier.. they sent us Marshall 18w types instead. So rather than send them back.. the 18 watt builds have always been on the drawing board ,so now I have been givin t...he initiative...so watch out for these ... !! Vibro Champ update..will be starting on these shortly ...have the chassis and parts already to go......one thing though I need to locate one locally ,to copy the cab dimensions ..happy to compensate the owner. Take care and stay safe.

10.01.2022 Hello again, second update in a week.??. Ok as we work into 2019 were going to introduce some new models and upgrade some others. One amp that has been long overdue , and Ive got people twisting my arm , is the Tweed 5E3 Deluxe . Since our 57 Bandmaster and 58 Twins have really hit the spot , Ive fallen in love with the organic flavor of the sound and their so responsive. So were going to do our first run of four 5E3s that should be completed by late May/ June.

10.01.2022 TESTIMONIALS LM 63 DELUXE #0109 "Morning Dean.Just want to thank you for your amazing piece of art.I feel like I have just scratched the surface to the sounds that can come from the amp.Look forward to us growing together for many years to come." D.Weitering . VIC. LM 65 DELUXE REVERB #0110 " Hi Dean , Im loving it, and its been everything Ive hoped for. Overall, Im extremely pleased with the amp. 08.01.2022 NEW PRODUCT UPDATE. Introducing the "Souldigger". A gorgeous 15w combo , modeled on the 65 Princeton Reverb with some high-end upgrades. We still utilise the wonderful Synergy Royal Blue coupling and tone capacitors , Mercury Magnetics O/p transformer , but introduce Tantalum resistors in various stages and use pure silver solder tout. The end result is an amp with wonderful depth and character and a tone to die for.Yes shes like a bottle of Grange and as she ages the tones only going to get better and better.. Finished in a blonde tolex and oxblood grill this little beauty will sit alongside the Honeydripper as one of our flagship models.

08.01.2022 Hey..just a call out to anyone who might own or know someone who possess one of these little gems.A vintage brownface Princeton...not a re-issue. We would like to study the internals for future builds. Happy to compensate the owner.

08.01.2022 testimonial #0095 LM Princeton Reverb. Arnold A. Croyden Park. NSW "Ive wanted a low wattage, boutique tube amplifier for quite some time. In my search I have looked at a range of American, British and Australian models. When I discovered Lucas Miles Amplification I was impressed by the quality, attention to detail and Deans obvious passion to reproduce the vintage sound of the classic 60s Fender tube amplifiers.... I was also impressed by the very generous 10 year warranty, an obvious sign, I believe, of a manufacturers faith in their productand when respected guitarist Geoff Achison spoke so highly of his own LM Vintage 65 Princeton Reverb, that was the clincher for me. I received the amp today (1st May 2019) and the first thing that amazed me was how well it was packaged for delivery. Dean really went to great lengths to ensure it would not be damaged in transit. The Princeton is a thing of beauty both to listen to and to look at. I love the way my Les Paul sounds through it and I look forward to next playing a single coil guitar through it. I would highly recommend Deans amplifiers and I would not hesitate to purchase another of his models. For me, the whole experience of dealing with Dean and purchasing one of his amplifiers has been very good." See more

07.01.2022 UPDATE. What an amp blitz...through friday and saturday just gone we sold 4 amps..Quite remarkable ...people getting their bit of retail therapy...its not all doom and gloom....and the multi amp buyers trend continues. Tony Naz from here in melbourne landed on my doorstep mid 2016 with his Fender 58 Tweed Twin reissue..wanting to do a tone shootout with one of our LM Bandmasters..Dare i say our bandmaster took the honors and the 58 Twin got the flick. Early 2017 Tonys back on the doorstep and goes home with a LM 63 Vibroverb.Tony reappeared last Sat. with his eyes fixed on the LM 59 Bassman. I asked him " what do you need another amp for? " .."I dont"...but still he took that baby home.... Have a great week!

07.01.2022 BUILD UPDATE. Currently on the bench in its final stages a LM 59 Bassman. And looking over its shoulder checking for quality control is the real deal. Have a great week!

06.01.2022 BUILD UPDATE. Just completed a LM 65 Princeton Reverb #0106. A liitle slice of heaven on its way to the NT.

06.01.2022 UPDATE FROM THE BENCH..Yes its been awhile since i've posted anything, but thats been due to the fact that I've been so friggin busy.... Hope everyone is well and hopefully it wont be too long now till we're back in the pubs and clubs , giggin and drinking beer. Anyway just an update on the Blackface Vibro Champs ...first one is now being bench tested and refined. Little babe is pumpin out 8 watts of pure class A tone...gorgeous.Our first run will be of 4 units all slightly different ,..till we fine that one that sends the shivers down the backbone. In terms of availabilty ...looks like feb/mar 2021. All for now . Take care.

05.01.2022 TESTIMONIAL LM 64 Vibroverb #0098 " Dean, what you have built, as far as amplifiers and music goes, deserves to be thought of as a form of elevated artistry, this amp really is wondrous pure tone through and through. Its been a month since arriving here with me in New Zealand, and honestly, each day I am drawn to its inspiring reach and capacity to deliver notes back to me at such a lavish depth. Do I love this amp? Well after having almost all the reissued vintage Fender amps, this 64 Vibroverb of yours has finally brought a huge amount of resounding satisfaction to my musical life, yes I do love this divine amplifier! " Kurt Yates NZ.

03.01.2022 VIDEO DEMO. Brett Burgs Kingman demos the Souldigger alongside the LM 65 Princeton Reverb. https://youtu.be/5VZKxEP-xcg

03.01.2022 BUILD UPDATE..just a quick post to highlite this tweed gem..its a Bandmaster with tweed cloth finished with an amber shellac..Nothing like a good shellacing to bring out the beauty of the tweed cloth.

02.01.2022 PRODUCT UPDATE!!..Just coming off the bench , a LM Vintage 65 Princeton Reverb #0103 finished in tweed tolex and oxblood grill. Finally got pressured into doing a blackface amp in tweed colors. Love the look!

02.01.2022 TESTIMONIAL. LM SOULDIGGER # 0117 "Hi Dean, I have to say that the Souldigger is such an aptly named amp! It truly enlivens the soul of its player, in no small part due to your finely tuned ear and exquisite build quality. Ive been playing a Strat and Tele through this little marvel over the past week, not just because its a new amp that I want to put through its paces, but because its the most superb amp Ive had the pleasure of owning/playing with the most lush sounding ...reverb and tremolo known to man. You want fabled bell/piano like tones? Look no further. How about some 3D/harmonically rich dirt? To be honest, Ive never heard the bridge pickup of my Tele to be so dynamic and touch sensitive. But thats what it does, and does so well - it allows the nuance of your instrument and playing to shine, uninhibited. If youre a pedal monger like me, get set to rediscover each one in a way that youve never known before, like youre hearing it in its true form for the first time. The Souldigger made me think of the motto from the Porsche resto-mod company, Singer - Everything is Important. Similarly, there are no shortcuts here, no compromises. Every component of this amp (and all of your range) has been carefully thought of, procured and implemented for a reason - pure, focussed and unadulterated tonal pleasure." Tim Vann .VIC. See more
