20.01.2022 Update!! It seems things are starting to go back to normal with the announcement of the new roadmap! Most office staff are retuning to their offices as of Monday and project planning is in full swing! I was in Perth this last week attending some exciting (Zoom/ responsible social distancing boardroom) meetings for upcoming packages. 19.01.2022 Yesterday was #areyouokay day, I’m posting this today because I don’t think there should be just one dedicated day to check up on friends, family and work colleagues. It should be everyday! If you haven’t heard from someone for awhile reach out. If someone seems a little off reach out. Check on your happy friends they might be very good at masking their feelings. Just say hi how are you going?! It’s simple Smile at someone when your walking past them, you don’t know what happiness it will bring to their day. 17.01.2022 Morning Routine! I find it’s so important to have a morning routine when you work from home and have kids! I am normally up by 6am with my little guy and have my brekky and COFFEE while things are quite. I also have a chance to check and reply to emails and get my day plan finalised (as it can change so quickly sometimes!) I try and get the kids outside for a morning bike ride and play at the playground then after this they are ready for some quite time and I can get ...a bunch of work done! Afternoons vary and it depends on what work packages I have on and what deadlines are in place. But this is just a basic morning strategy that I like to use which I find allows my productivity to be optimal! What are your morning routines when you work from home with kids? 17.01.2022 Monday’s = Planning Every Monday I like to take 10 minutes to sit down and plan out my week ahead. Although my work changes daily and being able to adapt is a must, having a clear plan in place allows me to clearly see where I have flexibility in my schedule and what items need to be prioritised. 05.01.2022 Working from Home TIPS!! Set a Routine - always start your working day at the same time. Your clients will know your easily contactable and available. (I will do a seperate post on my daily routine so stay tuned!!) Be Organised - I love to have a visual display outlining the different projects and schedules I am working on. Key deadlines and KPI’s to meet. Daily tasks that need to be carried out, meetings etc... Eat- make sure you allow yourself to have a 30 minute b...reak to reset. Sit outside breathe in the fresh air get some sun, go for a walk. Device free time- Make sure you don’t have your personal phone or any social media distractions for a minimum of a 2 hour period!! See how much more you get done in this two hour period without these distractions it’s amazing!! Log off- when the day is done switch from work mode to chill time!
