Run / Walk a half marathon in September (you have the whole month.. it doesn’t need to be all in one go), earn your Kidney bling and show some support for a fellow tribe member and those affected by Kidney disease.... 15.01.2022 We are stepping it up for our next challenge! You have 30 days to achieve (and exceed) a 300,000 step count. Submit your evidence at the end of your 30 days, receive your medal and help us raise money to donate to the Heart Foundation. Did you know that heart disease takes 48 Australian lives every day? So let's help by not only moving and taking care of our own hearts but by also helping raise money for life saving research. BUT WAIT.... THERE'S MORE (and no, it's not a ...set of steak knives)...In addition to the medal you will receive when you reach your step target, we will also be giving away trophies for the 1st, 2nd and 3rd highest step counts submitted over a 30 day period. In order to be eligible to enter in the trophy challenge you must submit your 30 day step count no later than 31 August. 07.01.2022 Thank you to all of the amazing runners and walkers who helped us raise $2300 for Kids Helpline last month. Since March, the demand for support from @kidshelplineau has increased to an unprecedented 9000 contacts per week, that’s one contact to the service every 60 seconds! Your participation in our June event means that a counsellor will be there to speak to another child tomorrow so THANK YOU

06.01.2022 The 300,000 step challenge results are in!!! There were some amazing results and as always the VR team never cease to amaze us with their determination however the 1st, 2nd and 3rd places go to.... (insert drum roll here... ) 1st place : Des Keuken 2nd place : Bec Peterson 3rd place : Vincenzo Cimino... Bec and Vincenzo came in over the 940,000 step mark with Des reaching the millions HOLY MOLY.. what a stunning effort!!! We’ve done a bit of research on our winner and he’s pretty impressive! If you participate in @run_down_under you may have seen him.. he’s finished Run Down Under, Run Around Europe AND Run around UK & Ireland!! CONGRATULATIONS We will be ordering your trophies and they’ll be on their way soon!!! Honourable mentions go to three young champions Jackson, Elise and Erika (aged 11 & 12) who made the 300,000 steps in style!! A.M.A.Z.I.N.G

03.01.2022 Hey Hey Virtual Runners Just an update to let you all know there appears to be quite lengthy delays on postage. Some medals are arriving in days, we had one that just arrived after being sent 3 weeks ago, we personally just received a bill that was sent to us on 15 March only yesterday...it was a month overdue before we even had the chance to open it - welcome to #covidlife. !!... As you know we are generally super speedy at making sure your medals arrive as we know how important they are .. however please allow a bit more time for the ridiculously busy (and probably very tired) postmen to get your deliveries to you.
