17.01.2022 CANADA IMMIGRATION UPDATE A summary of the most important headlines from this week - Two Express Entry draws in as many days... - The first draw invited 600 PNP candidates to apply - A day later, another draw invited 3,300 CEC candidates to apply - A BC PNP draw issued 302 invitations 600 PNP Candidates invited in Express Entry draw Canada held a program-specific Express Entry draw this week, inviting 600 immigration candidates to apply for permanent residence. Invited candidates needed to have a provincial nomination through the Provincial Nominee Program (PNP). Those with a provincial nomination get an additional 600 Comprehensive Ranking System (CRS) points. This practically guarantees that they will receive an invitation to apply for permanent residence in a subsequent Express Entry draw. The minimum CRS score required to receive an invitation to apply was 771. This was the highest requirement this year. This may be because of the large number of candidates currently in the pool. CEC Express Entry draw issues 3,300 invitations The latest Express Entry draw saw invitations issued to 3,300 immigration candidates to apply for permanent residence. In this draw, candidates were eligible for the Canadian Experience Class (CEC). This means that they have Canadian work experience and they are likely already in Canada.
