Brave the frosty mornings and head out for an ultimate bike ride starting off in our picturesque town of Trafalgar and discovering the nearby townships as you ride along Cant think of a cycle loop? Dont worry weve got you covered with plenty of cycling loops depending on your riding ability level. Medium level cyclists should opt for the Trafalgar Old Sale Rd Loop. This 45km on-road cycling route starts and finishes at Tr...afalgar, after heading north into the surrounding countryside. Expert cyclists, you may be more familiar with the Trafalgar Narracan Loop. This 51km route from Trafalgar to Narracan, circling around Thorpdale and back to Trafalgar and includes a significant climb in between. Known as the largest flowering tree in the Southern Hemisphere, The Ada Tree towers over its surrounds standing 76meters tall! This easy-medium grade track is 12.6km one way and commences at Rokeby Common. The trail follows the former Warragul to Noojee rail line to Crossover Regional Park, Neerim South and continuing along to the edge of Neerim. Highlights include the Trestle Bridge at Crossover, views of the Tarago Reservoir, Bunyip State Forest... and Mount Baw Baw in the distance. More info can be found on our website! 14.01.2022 Walhalla Horseshoe Bend Tunnel Since we are all safely tucked away at home, theres no greater time to brush up on our history of this man-made marvel. The Thomson River Diversion Tunnel, commonly known as the Walhalla Horseshoe Bend Tunnel is an important part of the Walhalla Goldrush period. The tunnel was created during the 20th century as a result of some very clever miners who discovered they would divert the river and mine deeper into the seams of the Thomson River ...bed in search of valuable gold! When we get the all clear to roam the beauty of Baw Baw, we encourage you to grab a pair of comfy walking shoes and check out the 2 walking tracks available. One track is 4km and the other 2km and both lined by tall trees and stunning natural bushland, this sure is a great spot to reconnect with nature! Four-legged friends are welcome too on a lead. 04.01.2022 No matter how many times you visit the Noojee Trestle Bridge, it’s commanding beauty will never cease to amaze you! The Trestle Bridge in our picturesque town of Noojee was built between 1915 and 1919 and forms part of the railway that once ran from Warragul to Noojee. At 21 metres high and spanning over 100 metres, the Trestle Bridge towers over its surrounds and is one of Victoria’s greatest historic bridges. The pictures simply just don’t do justice!...
