Whenever you’re feeling overwhelmed, I recommend removing yourself from the situation that’s making you feel this way, finding a quiet place and practicing basic meditation. This includes sitting in a comfortable position with neutral spine and gently closing your eyes. Then all you need to do is clear your mind and focus on your breathing It’s as simple as that! Give it a go next time you’re under stress.

20.01.2022 Kettlebell swings! A highly effective but also commonly incorrectly done exercise. With a massive list of benefits, this exercise should be a staple in any gym goers repertoire! So let’s go through what you need to know! What are the benefits? A correctly done KB swing will do wonders for the glutes and hamstrings as well as the core. This explosive movement is amazing for those wanting to lose fat and gain muscle. Optimum results will be in conjunction with good nutrition.... So what can go wrong? 1Excessive knee bending leading to a lack of hip drive. This movement is essentially a loaded hip hinge. Without a clear hip hinge and an explosive hip drive, the movement becomes ineffective. 2Too much arm movement. With too much arm movement it essentially becomes a front raise, which we are trying to avoid and utilise the different muscle groups of lower body and core. 3Arching through the back. This usually occurs with people who have no experience hip hinging. It could be due to a lack of flexibility in the hamstrings or even core strength. The kettlebell swing is an incredibly beneficial movement but if it’s done incorrectly, it can become ineffective and even lead to injury. If you’re having trouble, the best thing to do is to ask your PT!
