23.01.2022 WE ARE ALL WAVES IN THE SAME OCEAN. Hello all, I sincerely hope you are taking care of yourself during the tough Coronavirus crisis. We all feel the uncertainty, fear and anxiousness of this pandemic. However throughout all the scary headlines plastered all over the news- I am fighting to maintain a sense of optimism, that the world is forcing us to band together as a community, to show compassion for one another. To stop and care about the strangers (and those we know) ar...ound us. I stood in the line for the voting booth today, and felt genuine concern for the people I was in line with. What if I was sick and made them sick?. Show love, compassion, care... I also believe its teaching us to show compassion to ourselves, its teaching us to slow down and appreciate what really matters.. our health, our focus and energy, love the ones close to us, our basic freedoms and simple pleasures we took for granted. I WILL BE CLOSING MY BUSINESS TEMPORARILY. As enforced by the understandable measures imposed by the government today. Malawi has also enforced schools to close to protect its community, so Bikema Academic Centre will not be open. This is a good time for us to prepare, focus and build in other ways. Please stay safe xxx

Literally had THE best conversation with her talking about our businesses, passions and how Creatives can easily connect with one another despite being complete strangers! Shes 21 and has been running her business for 2 years, teaching up to 5 classes a night... on her own! Soma shared with me the difficulties of starting a business as a young woman and struggling to be taken seriously. But is now running a s...uccessful dance studio! If its one thing I took from our conversation- its that competition is everywhere, but we decide what we are passionate about, what is worth pursuing and going for it despite what struggles we may face. I have also made it through as Semi-Finalist for The University of Queensland Create Change Award! Absolutely blessed to represent the university I studied at!
