24.01.2022 How are you making BUSINESS decisions? If youre a business owner, youre 100% certain to be contemplating a business decision with financial implications in th...e next few weeks. It might be BIG, like: - When should I put on staff, - Should I take that lease on? - How much should I spend on marketing and advertising? Or small, like: - How much should we spend on client gifts? - Should we upgrade our laptops? - Id really like a standing desk. Is it in the budget? If youre like most business owners, you have NO framework for making these decisions, either big or small. You just sort of think about it, then do it and hope it works. Or worse - ask your friends and family what they think. What you should be doing is reframing everything through one question - "Will this make me more profitable or not." Use that as the starting question and then branch out from there, because what it will start to do is focus you on THE most important question for business owners - is my business profitable?

02.01.2022 Scott Morrison has announced a third stimulus package to mitigate the negative impact of COVID-19 on small businesses. Watch this space. The job keeper allowance is fantastic but what small businesses need at the moment is something as far fetched as some form of temporary GST relief for the March and June quarters (and maybe the September quarter) in our opinion.
