15.01.2022 Experienced Furniture Removalists Wanted Bay Island Transport are seeking motivated individuals to join our team of Furniture Removalists. We have an excellent reputation within industry and our Removals division is growing at a rapid rate. We are looking for someone to take charge of our removal work, to run our jobs professionally from start to finish. Must be experienced, and must have a HR licence. Majority of our removals are within South East Queensland so you will b...e home every night. Our depot is in Redland Bay and we have a large fleet of trucks ranging from 12m3 up to 55m3. All prospective employees MUST have a valid HR licence, be fit and healthy, able to lift heavy things, be honest and punctual, have their own transport to/from work, and be respectful and keen to work. If you do not possess all of these qualities please do not apply. If you are not an honest, hard-working and reliable employee you will not last in this role. Successful candidates should meet all of the following criteria: High degree of fitness, strength and energy Previous experience in removals industry Able to work in a team HR Truck License Must be physically fit Great communication, the ability to read and write Able to cope with the repetitive physical demands of the job TASKS Undertake and document pre-removal inspections Load goods effectively and efficiently into the truck Ensures goods are stored and securely covered to prevent loss and damage Use blankets, protectors etc ensure items such as fridges, couches and beds are not damaged Ensure the load is correctly placed and secured to avoid any damage to the truck or to the goods Drive defensively and handle all types of road conditions Unload goods and move them into the drop-off address, unpacking as required Check items against inventory, noting any wear and tear or damage Observes safety requirements when loading and unloading vehicles Conduct a general maintenance check of the truck and clean the vehicle Provide a high level of customer service All interested parties MUST email their Resume, including relevant experience and details of tickets / licences to [email protected]. The health and safety of our employees, customers and community is our number one priority. We recognise the trust our customers place in us when we deliver to your home, or workplace. The precautions our Management and Staff are taking include: Sharing advice with our teams about how to stay healthy, including practising frequent hand washing, wearing masks as required and social distancing. Regularly cleaning our workplaces, vehicles and delivery equipment such as scanners. Encouraging team members to monitor their health and seek medical attention if they develop flu-like symptoms. Any team member who reports, or displays flu-like symptoms, will be asked to stay home. Supporting our teams to follow travel advice and quarantine practices as directed by local authorities.
