Men who are preparing for the priesthood are ordained transitional deacons the year before they are ordained priests (those not planning to be ordained priests are called permanent deacons, and go through a different formation process). Let us keep these men in our prayers.

13.01.2022 Sr Mel brings so much wisdom in this area of discernment. Take the time to hear her share about one key ingredient when we're discerning our vocation. "Whilst prayer must remain at the foundation of every discernment, it's also important to take a leap of faith. To not wait to be 100% certain that you're called to a particular state of life". #NVAW Vocation Brisbane Mel Dwyer

08.01.2022 Prayer is crucial in our discernment to a Vocation. Bishop Ken gives us an insight into allowing the Holy Spirit to guide us in prayer, through scripture and when we enter into communal prayer. "Someone who is discerning a vocation is someone very much in the context of the life of the Church. The life that is lived in the celebration of Christ's faithful coming together. because it is the people of God we would ultimately serve through our Vocation.

03.01.2022 As Jesus passed by, he saw a man named Matthew sitting at the customs post. He said to him, Follow me. And he got up and followed him. While he was at table in his house, many tax collectors and sinners came and sat with Jesus and his disciples. The Pharisees saw this and said to his disciples, Why does your teacher eat with tax collectors and sinners? He heard this and said, Those who are well do not need a physician, but the sick do. Go and learn the meaning of the words, I desire mercy, not sacrifice. I did not come to call the righteous but sinners. Matthew 9:9-13
