18.01.2022 Over the past weekend Voice of Health founders were invited to attend and speak at the first official Ditox Dinner! Hosted by the wonderful Vanessa Tran, founder of Ditox, it was a night to be remembered! Ditox.co has a fantastic vision to enrich peoples lives through spreading the power of meaningful re-connection - so that they become more focused, present, and balanced - and improve their digital well-being and plugged-in lives. The night featured amazing authentic Sicili...an food from Zia Rinas Cucina in Armadale and fantastic speeches from Matt Runnalls (Mindfull Aus), Carly Walker (Behaviour Specialist), Victoria Devine (Zella) and our founders Luke Karabatsos & James Hatchman from Voice of Health. We feel so lucky to have been a part of such a great night but this is just the beginning for the Ditox movement and they will be holding more events in the future that we cant recommend enough! We look forward to remaining connected with Ditox in the future because of its importance in the current digital and mental health landscape. To be apart of the Ditox movement definitely go check it out at Ditox.co!

17.01.2022 Listen to what Barack Obama had to say to his audience! Link to the full clip: https://goo.gl/4yqnBo

16.01.2022 "I am often asked how I could struggle with things like depression and self harm due to the fact that I seem like I have it all together. I have also been asked that because I was attractive, what did I have to be sad about? What does that mean anyway? I think its crazy how much value we as a society place on superficial things such as looks. People are treated or judged a specific way based on something they have little to no control over. Mental illness does not discriminate. Sometimes its the girl that holds everyone else together while she herself feels like shes falling apart". - By Brittney Robinson Read my story: https://goo.gl/YKsZk2

16.01.2022 We wanted to say a big thank you to Anthill (Supporting Innovation and Entrepreneurship in Australia) for having us and nominating us for the annual Anthill Smart100 awards night. It was a great night hosted by the wonderful James Tuckerman, with some amazing speakers that everyone was lucky enough to be able to learn from and listen to. Plenty of greats nuggets of knowledge that any innovative company can take forward with them. Keep up the great work!

16.01.2022 It all began just over two months ago at the very first induction session for the Monash Seed Incubator. The team from Voice of Health entered a room full of people who wanted to make a impact on the world. From that day, we knew these were people we wanted to be around. We then embarked on a number of fantastic workshops run by some amazing facilitators, hosted in the amazing space provided in Melbournes CBD by Foundation for Young Australians (FYA). We want to say a big th...ank you to Gordan Chan from World Vision Australia, Isaac Jeffries, Eugene Healey from PUSH Collective, Kartik Iyer from @Small Giants and Demetrio Zema from Law Squared who all hosted some very insightful workshop sessions. These workshops helped us refine our entire platform and helped us really polish any areas of our business that needed it. It allowed Voice of Health to surround itself with independent thinkers whose minds were already geared towards making a difference in the world. It then all came down to the finale, Pitch Night! We were lucky enough to have it held in the awesome co-working space One Roof in Southbank. There was a delicious array of foods, drinks and even prizes given away throughout the night. The crowd was also blessed to have a fantastic guest speaker, Christy Hildyard who enlightened us about the amazing work her organisation Grace Pads does educating and providing African women with the resources and knowledge in sanitary & female health and well-being. A big thank you has to also go to Zoe Kerwin, Yvanah Hernandez, Jordan Nicholson and Shara Lim from Monash SEED who organised everything throughout the program and the night! Lastly, the other teams involved, you guys are amazing! All the Pitches on the night were fantastic and we loved seeing your ideas grow from the start into the amazing results at the end! We also enjoyed seeing each of you grow as people and watching your minds at work. The teams from Grind, Project Ink, Holmes and Our Big Ideas, you guys are awesome and we hope that moving into the future we can be a part of your journey! So much love and support in this program that we hope inspires you to make an impact! 13.01.2022 "My parents passed away due to health problems when I was in my last years of schooling. The struggles I faced became even harder and it felt like living life wasnt worth it. Being a big boy all my life was the reason I was bullied at school. I was probably the biggest in all my classes and even the school. I was called all fat names you can think of and not having my parents there to talk to, meant I was losing my self confidence by the day. Giving up became an option but..." 10.01.2022 "My battle with mental health has been an on and off struggle for the majority of my adult life. It started in my teenage years and had gotten worse as time progressed. A lot of my friends havent been aware of it; I guess that will change now that Im sharing my story. I think the reason I havent shared this before is due to a combination of not giving myself the time to understand why I felt the way I did or perhaps my unwillingness to communicate about how I felt to anyon...e during that time. I think my healing really started when I decided to go and travel the world. I believe travelling gives you what you dont give yourself at home, time. It gives you time to digest all of your emotions and experiences in great intricate detail. It gives you the time to share those emotions and experiences with other people who in turn have the chance to share their stories with you. It gives you the power to be vulnerable and not feel judged by others" By Craig Latham Read my story: https://goo.gl/w51NZ1

10.01.2022 "On the surface I was trying to open myself up to fun new experiences. Underneath, however, part of me was tirelessly trying to avoid gaining weight and probably couldnt admit that I was quite self-conscious about my body image. I put so much pressure on myself to maintain a high level of strength and fitness and to not get fat, I was doing it the only way I knew how. Essentially, I was still competing. I felt anxious if I didnt exercise, I loathed the prospect of becoming weak or gaining weight, I was ignorant about nutrition and I overtrained. Mentally and physically, my body was constantly depleted and under stress, I needed to change" - By Jessica Kaufman Read my story: https://goo.gl/Cjxs6V

09.01.2022 Its important to remember that changes dont always happen overnight. Try to embrace the journey and stick with it! If accountability or consistency gets the better of you, reach out to us and well help provide you with the results you deserve :)

08.01.2022 R U OK? day! R U OK? day is all about encouraging everyone to check in with their mates, and ask if theyre doing okay. But it doesnt stop there: we must also learn to listen, to encourage positive action, and to check back in. Knowing what to say after youve asked if someone is okay can be a challenge, but the right words can make a world of difference; thats why R U OK? has provided free tips and resources to help you communicate effectively with those who mean something... to you - or even with a stranger that is just looking a little down. https://www.ruok.org.au/join-r-u-ok-day Additionally, Voice of Health provides resources and training on how you can better support, listen and continue the conversation with those around you. Asking a friend how theyre going isnt something that is confined to a single day - this is something we should all be doing throughout the year, checking in on those we care for and letting them know they can share. Voice of Health sincerely hopes that this is what we facilitate through our service - a dialogue between two individuals that encourages the sharing of concerns and challenges with someone who understands, and cares. Stay positive, and ask a friend R U OK? today.

02.01.2022 "Whilst on my trip to the Philippines to escape the reality of coming out, I returned to Melbourne to find the apartment was empty. My sister had moved out with only a note remaining on the kitchen bench stating what she had taken and what belonged to me, no goodbye, nothing. I cried for hours on the floor of what used to be our living room filled with memories. I had only months to figure out where I was going to live and how I was going to afford it. I was at the lowest poi...nt of my life and thats when you start to think is it worth it? Should I be loving a girl? My whole life is being affected by it. I couldnt help crying every single day, not having any money for food and staring in the mirror asking myself, why am I a lesbian? I would stay in bed every single day, sleeping and miserable".
