15.01.2022 Ok, so some of you are asking about the recommended frequency of carpet cleaning. Our recommendation is as follows: Hot water extraction cleaning (aka steam cleaning) no more than twice per year on domestic carpet. Repeated wetting of the carpet and exposure of the carpet backing to moisture is not good for it. Over time it will eventually make the backing brittle and as it dries out the fibres will begin to become powdery and at this point the face fibre may start to become ...loose and fall out. We recommend a maintenance low moisture clean (aka dry clean) be carried out between each hot water extraction clean. Low moisture (dry cleaning) is much more gentle on your carpet and as the name suggests uses a fraction of the moisture and tends only to get the face fibre (the bit you can see and touch) damp. The carpet is usually dry within 20 to 30 minutes and is therefore favoured in the commercial sector where the floor needs to be walked on soon after the cleaning. This method employs (encapsulation technology) which is a fancy term for a fluid that when it dries sticks to the dirt in the carpet, vacuuming thoroughly during the weeks after the process will remove even more soil. So in summary domestic carpets should have no more than 2 steam cleans and 2 dry cleans every 12 months. Hope this helps. Kind regards VORTEX MAN.....

15.01.2022 How much did you spend on installing carpets in your home? Are you using a cleaning company who has all the gear and no idea? Be sure to use a reputable firm who's technicians are trained by the IICRC Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification. We inspect the material to be cleaned and identify what it is,what the backing and underlay is if any and indeed what the substrate is. All of these can be irreparably damaged by cowboy cleaners using the wrong Ph ...level solutions and incorrect cleaning methods. And our pet hate here at Vortex is CARPET CLEANERS WHO DO NOT THOROUGHLY VACUUM BEFORE CLEANING YOUR CARPET. IF THEY DO THIS, PAY THEM HALF THE BILL BECAUSE THEY HAVE ONLY DONE HALF A JOB. Adding water to an un-vacuumed carpet sends muddy water straight into the backing and your carpets will be dirty again in days. Australian New Zealand standard AS/NZS 3733:1995 states pre vacuuming MUST be done as it removes more than 70% of the dry dirt. PAY FOR THE BEST AND FORGET THE REST. See more

13.01.2022 Ok so we have had a few people enquiring about oil stain removal this last week. YES WE CAN CLEAN THOSE UNSIGHTLY DRIVEWAY AND GARAGE FLOOR MARKS ALSO !!!! Firstly though, if we can get to the mark within the first week of it appearing we have a much greater chance of removing it. We have managed to remove marks that have been in place for 12 months but this takes much more work, and time as they say is money! SO call us AS SOON as you can and we will help you. 12.01.2022 Hi everyone. Sorry for lack of Facebook activity recently!!! Been very busy last few weeks working towards winning a few commercial contracts which we have just been informed we were successful in. :) Great news for us as this gives us a bit of a foot up to our next goal. Thank you for supporting us along the way, still have a long road ahead to reach our goal of putting a VORTEX MAN in every city in the country but from little acorns grow BIG trees!!!

10.01.2022 Had a tough job this week with HEAVY oil stain removal from unsealed concrete garage floor. Tenants had left the oil and according to the home owner it had been there for over a year! Oil on unsealed concrete behaves like water on a sponge, it will travel deeper and deeper each week. We used a high powered degreasing agent and hot water through a low torque scrubber and followed this up with a treatment of drawing agent which effectively attracts the oil pulling it back up to the surface. This was followed up with high pressure cleaning and although shadowing remains the oil was removed and the floor has a much cleaner appearance. IF YOU CAN GET US TO YOUR OIL STAINS WITHIN THE FIRST FEW WEEKS WE CAN REMOVE THEM WITH GREAT SUCCESS.
