19.01.2022 OneSchool ten seater bus Background: A comfortable and economically packaged bus fit out within a smaller wheelbase layout was needed by OneSchool. These buses would take our national bus fitout capacity to the next level if we achieved Second Stage engineering compliance throughout Australia.... Solution: Paying close attention to detail and in accordance to ADR guidelines, VQuip fitted each OneSchool bus with a passenger capacity of 10 seats. To comply with strict new regulations and qualify for second stage compliance our design team developed new universal seat legs and mounts. This gave the bus a smarter and more refined finish whilst also providing us with a new design for buses in the future. As the buses were assembled not only in our Head Office in Scoresby but also at production facilities in Sydney and Brisbane, our Process Engineer invested heavily in fine tuning and expanding our Standard Operation Procedure (S.O.P) Guidelines. This ensured that the same high quality product would be assembled consistently at each location.

13.01.2022 "Tool Trader" Background: Milwaukee required a workshop and display van to demonstrate their products in a neatly packaged manner. The fitout was to have a clean design whilst showcasing the Milwaukee brand.... Solution: Focusing heavily on branding and Milwaukees signature shade of red, the fitout was designed to accommodate the best of both the workshop and display area. The right hand side of the space was designated for the workstation, which features a stainless steel benchtop than spans the length of the vehicle, with a 7 drawer toolbox underneath filled with the best Milwaukee tools available. To the left hand side of the vehicle is the display and demonstration area. This consists of a large wire wall showcasing the larger tools and accessories available to Milwaukee customers and the rear door skin, which was converted to a wheel hub. This allows for live demonstrations of the quality and speed of the tools, allowing the user to remove the wheel from the hub within seconds a great tool when selling to a customer. 11.01.2022 Country Fire Authority Service Vehicle Background: CFA has evolved from its informal beginnings in community-based fire brigades to become one of the worlds largest volunteer-based emergency service organisations. CFA relies on a range of fire stations and trucks to meet the needs of the community it serves, and there are many different types of appliances in CFAs fleet ensuring that the firefighters can respond to different types of fires and other emergency situations. Fr...om tankers to pumpers to all-terain and aerial appliances, the fleet requires specialised servicing capability to ensure they are always operational. As part of a new strategy, CFA have decided to trial a maintenance program that uses a lightweight purpose build vehicle that can travel to the larger trucks and appliances to carry out repairs. Solution: Based on previous experience, VQuip recommended the Mercedes Benz Sprinter Cab chassis as the ideal platform to build on. This combined with the proprietary 4 tonne aluminium tray system ensured a lightweight construction with excellent payload capacity. The fitout has been entirely purpose built from the tool boxes with adjustable shelving to the pull out work benches and dedicated uniform storage. Each element has been meticulously designed and constructed by the VQuip team even down to the central locking securing all tool boxes. The rear of the van has been fitted with a hefty 550kg tailgate lifter which can be used even at night with the support of high intensity exterior lighting and importantly all of the this functionality can be run off mains or generator power. So as CFA grows and tackles more diverse emergency situations they can be assured their equipment is ready to go.

07.01.2022 "Pedal Power" Background: Bikefix facilitate an entire bike workshop within the confines of a mobile setting. Bringing the workshop to the bike rather than the other way around, Bikefix wanted to use their idea as a way to not only repair bikes but to be a visible presence at the likes of races, events and expos. In addition, theyd sell accessories and parts and drive their brand forward. Bikefix asked VQuip to help realise this idea.... Solution: The Renault Master is a great base to build a project such as this, its wide stance and high roof gave us the ability to design a solution where both the workshop and display of accessories could be housed entirely within the vehicle itself. Careful utilisation of space and ergonomic considerations were paramount when the concept was developed, ensuring that the van remained well stocked but not cluttered or obtrusive to those who needed to work within it. The main feature of the Bikefix fitout is the workbench wall which consists of magnetically secured Park Tool bike mount, a 12V parts washer and a wheel truing jig. The area above this houses less frequently used accessories and the left side stores the accessories for sale. Bixefix have 40 years of experience in the bicycle industry and 18 years of Franchising experience. They are very proud of their new vans, and offer the opportunity to buy in to their expanding business.

This creates a challenge, as every mouthguard needs to be fitted to each athlete, preferably by a trained professional. Previously, Fresh Dentistry would set up a temporary tent, but they didnt have running water, air-conditioning, or complete protection f...rom wind, rain, and other elements. Simply put, they needed a comfortable atmosphere where kids and athletes felt safe. What if you could have a complete mouthguard-fitting office on wheels? 01.01.2022 St John Ambulance mobile training vehicle Background: St John Ambulance (Victoria) was established in 1883 with the intention of teaching First Aid to the public and since then has become an integral part of Australias emergency health services. The Victorian division identified the need for a mobile training vehicle that could be used to demonstrate first aid and in particular CPR at shows and public events. The concept put forward to VQuip was for a mobile van that could a...ct as a hub for group gatherings which incorporated the latest interactive technology and could permit high levels of audience involvement. This of course meant that the vehicle needed to almost double its footprint when setup and conveniently stow away in transit. Solution: VQuip in close consultation with the client developed a custom design which includes 8 iPad stations, 3 TV monitors, external speakers and WiFi capability. In addition the van incorporates air conditioning, storage for mannequins, defibrillator and other equipment plus mobile counters and seats for external set ups under a specialized side awning. Throughout the design and construction stages VQuip maintained continuous customer involvement and feedback. Along the way detail decisions needed to be made to optimise the fit-out and adapt to changes requested by the client but this was never a problem. The flexibility the team brings to the planning and execution stages of the project ensures the customer ends up with exactly what they want. Based on the success of the first unit the expectation is to build more and further expand the St John community programs.
