24.01.2022 G’day V-Strummers, Non-V-Strummers and parents. Welcome to 2020. I hope everyone has had an amazing holiday break if your back at work already and if your not back at work just yet, well playedhahaha, and I still hope your having a fun, relaxed few weeks. ... I mentioned just before Christmas there will be some exciting news early in the New year and that time has come (please read to the end of this post, thanks) On behalf of V-Strum, I am super excited to share with you all the birth of: V-Rock Academy V-Rock Academy" is a Rock Band program that we run for school aged students up to year 12 that already play a musical instrument and would like to play in a rock band. Most schools offer stage bands, jazz bands, marching bands, choirs, string quartets etc., but what about the students that want to play rock, indie or metal and just rock out??? Well now you have a home to come to. If your son or daughter OR your a student reading this, has ever thought about or wanted to be in a rock band and has never taken that first step or that first step has never come along, well here is your opportunity. If you already play an instrument whether its guitar, bass, sing, drum, piano, saxophone, trumpet etc and you want to play in a Rock Band , V-ROCK is the spot. The V-Rock Academy is dedicated to helping young school age students achieve their musical goals and hopefully even make some of their/your dreams a reality and have as much fun as possible along the way. As for V-Strum it will now be operating under V-Rock and purely be an In-School ONLY guitar tutoring program which is the only change, Otherwise all school days and lessons remain exactly the same. 22.01.2022 Just wanted to wish all of my students and followers and your families a very Merry Christmas and a fantastic new year. I hope the holidays are filled with lots of fun, exciting adventures and of course a heap of music Thanks so very much for an amazing year and I look forward to many more and getting my students to where they want to be musically and having as much fun as possible along the way.... On a side note there will be some exciting news with some exciting happenings being released with V-Strum early in the New Year so be sure to stay tuned. Till then "ROCK ON"

19.01.2022 Thursday are St Josephs Regional College days. Whether its guitar lessons, the guitar ensemble group or working with the junior rock bands V-Strum is at St Josephs Regional college every Thursday. If your child goes to St Josephs Regional College and is interested in learning guitar please get in touch with us directly or with Miss Green in the music department of the school. 17.01.2022 G’day Port Macquarie Hope everyone is having a cracker week. As mentioned in last week’s post V-Strum has been flat out like a lizard drinkin the past few weeks and here is the next update.... As some of you might know and some you don’t know V-Strum doesn’t just teach guitar but also works with bands covering all aspects of music from live performances & song writing right through to song recording and music videos. During the 2nd week of school holidays we held a Rock Band Workshop for a young local band called Hans Big and what an epic week we had. The week was filled with song writing, jams/rehearsals, portfolio construction, Photo shoots, filming and recording. The band worked hard and put their heart and soul into the entire week and the outcome was something truly amazing. Check Hans Big out and what we achieved via the Sound Cloud & YouTube Links below and then be sure to check out their Facebook and Instagram page and give the boys some love and stay up to date for their upcoming gigs as we definitely recommend seeing them live. 16.01.2022 G’day V-Strummers, Non-V-Strummers and parents. I hope your all Keeping well , safe & Healthy during this current period. Just to update you all if you by chance have not received our email updates.... Around 3 weeks ago all Guitar lessons for V-Strum have been put on hold due to our current situation and to do our bit to stop and support our community. The good news to this is V-Strum has teamed up with "V-Rock Academy" and is now offering all its current and new students to move their face to face lessons to On-Line lessons through the V-Rock On-line program. If your interested in or would like to move across to Online Guitar lessons for the mean time till everything goes back to normal, please get in contact with us here at V-Strum, With Chris or directly with V-Rock.. This is also open to any and all new students that would like to begin learning the guitar. There is no time like the present. We look forward to hearing from you and to get you rocking. 16.01.2022 G’day Port Macquarie Hope everyone is having a good week. On Saturday July 27th V-Strum organized an all age’s gig over at "Youth Hub" Port Macquarie and what a night it was. The bill consisted of @billyaxford (Solo Acoustic guitar) opening the night followed by MackDaddy (Indie Rock band) and finishing up with the headliners Hans Big releasing their first single and first music video .... There was a great turn out from a wide range of ages and a fair bit of dancing and grooving. V-Strum will be organizing more of the same over the next few months so if your looking at checking out some young local bands in Port Macquarie with some cool tunes then stay tuned as V-Strum will have some upcoming gig dates for you shortly. 10.01.2022 Gday Port Macquarie. Hope everyone is doing awsome. Alot has been happening at V-Strum over the past few weeks which we will be sharing with everyone over the next couple of days. To start with, a little update on school day changes specifically regarding St Joseph's Regional College which has changed to a Thursday weekly (previously Monday weekly).... Be sure to get in contact with V-Strum today to lock in your school sessions for your kids or out of school lessons for yourself. Stay tuned more to come. Rock On!!!

04.01.2022 FREE GUITAR LESSONS If your child goes to SCAS St Columba Anglican School Port Macquarie and is interested in learning guitar, then V-Strum would like to hear from you. For the last 2 Wednesdays in Term 3 V-Strum is giving 16 students the opportunity to have a FREE 30min Guitar lesson (Guitar supplied).... All you have to do is please comment down below in the comment section and we will get in contact with you to confirm and lock your child in. Sign up is from today until Friday 13th September unless lesson slots filled before then. This offer is open to both primary & secondary students and both girls and boys and will be on a first come first serve basis, so be sure to get in quick so you don’t miss out. V-Strum will be supplying a guitar for your child to use during their lesson, so all they will have to do is turn up and have some fun.
