But If you alter your perception and train yourself to think that we all have complete control over every aspect of our lives, changes will inevitably occur. You see, if we believe that we have no control, that we didn’t create our world, at least on some level, then we inevitably believe we have no power to change it. If you didn...’t create your world, then who did? But, if you believe that the world you live in is the world you have created for yourself, if you are unhappy with that world, you have the power to change it. We live in the worlds we have created for ourselves. It’s all a culmination of the decisions we have made (or not made), either individually or as a group. Some decisions are out of our control, but how they affect us and how we respond and act IS up to us. We control our minds. We control our thoughts, our feelings. We control our actions. We alone are responsible for how we think and feel and what we do. So if you are in a job you hate, change it. If you are in a bad relationship, leave. If you are unhappy with the weather in your town, you can’t control the weather, but you can control if you stay. Make a decision, put a plan in place, follow the plan, and assess the outcome. 01.01.2022 A friend of mine posted this today, and I absolutely love it. Kindness and empathy will always win. Lead with kindness, and you can’t go wrong. I think kindness is something that can sometimes be missed and overlooked. Or seen as weakness. Especially in men. We don't want to be seen as weak... We have to be strong. We are providers, protectors. Anything that can be seen as a weakness we have unconciously been trained to remove from our lives. Which is a shame. I am very big ...on being kind, always. To others of course but also to ones' self. We are often the most unkind to ourselves. I could go on about this for a while! Haha. But at the end of the day, empathy and kindness will win. Choose kindness. Always.
