Funding pitch rounds will be held in May & November, where WA based groups will be invited to pitch to the WACD Board for funding support. 22.01.2022 WACD Support Within the WA Community, there are vulnerable children who enter care arrangements with little notice. In 2019, there was over 5000 children in care & this number is expected to rise due to the pressures of COVID-19. Local Charitable group Care Bags lovingly provide a backpack for each child filled with essentials & comfort items at their time of placement. WA Charity Direct has recently supported their efforts with funding to cover 200 of the much needed Wint...er bags. Sandra has held various volunteer Strategic and Board positions over the past 20 years with Radio Lollipop Australia and Camp Quality WA. Sandra was recognised in the 2013 Australia Day Honours List and received a Medal of the Order of Australia (OAM) for her volunteer work with Radio Lollipop.... Sandra will chair the Engagement Team raising the profile of WA Charity Direct with our members, recipients and the wider community. We welcome Sandra to the team!
