25.01.2022 40 is the number of times the Excel Cup cars will be heading over the horizon of turn 5 and down into Turn 6 as they all try to take out the Enduro this year. W...e've got competitors pulling double duties, competing in their usual classes as well as the Excel Cup Enduro on Sunday. How will they go? Will the extra seat time be an advantage or a disadvantage? PLUS! Spectators are welcome back for just $5 per car per day into the Turn 2, 3 and 7 park and view areas. We look forward to seeing you all back!

At this stage we are still unsure if spectators will be aloud and the 1 pit crew only allowed (currently) is still the case.... 14.01.2022 BRING ON 2020 After a big 2019 for WA Excel Cup we are now 4 weeks away from starting the new season. Our crew are busy setting up Rain lights, new suspension setups now that club points are not restricted to XYZ only suspensions and making sure the demisters work. But the biggest season for WA Excels yet comes in 2020 from expanded fields with some new entrants expected, our normal exciting state championship events, our interstate invitational Enduro being run again In July..., and for the first time, Barbagallo Raceway holds the Excel Nationals in October. So WA Drivers get those cars tuned and Interstate Excel Racers, book your leave and get your travel planned. Our events for the year are; Feb 29 - Mar 1 Round 1 Season Opener 28 Mar Round 2 Nightmasters 2/3 May (TBC) Round 3 Ernie Hastie Memorial Collie 21 June Round 4 Barbagallo Raceway 10 - 12 July Non-Championship Enduro 5 Sept Round 5 Barbagallo Raceway 16 - 18 Oct Excel Nationals 14 Nov Round 6 Barbagallo Raceway

Brake failure is one of the worst feelings for any experienced racer and can end in total catastrophe but this rear brake failure wa...s well managed by Jacko today at Barbagallo Raceway in the WA Excel Cup, escaping with just some light contact and a pair of cars that continued racing for the remainder of the day. 08.01.2022 Welcome Back to Race Season 2020 ! !!!!!! PLEASE READ IMPORTANT INFORMATION BELOW !!!! "2020 had been planned to be a big season for Excel Cup racing in WA however due to the unprecedented COVID pandemic our plans have obviously been affected.... So the good news is we are all set to back on track racing on 21 Jun 2020 for the long awaited Round 2 of the State Championship, we look forward to as many of our members being back on track as can be. The July Enduro event is still planned to proceed and we want it to be as successful as last year, Unfortunately the Ongoing Border Closure prevents the Invitation being extended to our Interstate Excel racers which was so successful last year, However for all those WA based racers that always wanted to get behind the wheel of an awesome Excel here is your chance. Our racing friends from other categories are encouraged to team up with one of our regular Excel racers for this event. The other event planned this year was for the Excel Nationals to be run at Barbagallo in October. A meeting between State Circuit Excel Association presidents in May concluded that due to the ongoing uncertainty on state borders and the economic impact of the COVID pandemic being a challenge on attracting a full interstate field to WA that the 2020 Nationals planned for Barbagallo would be postponed to 2021. The WA Excel Cup Association confirms it is now working with the WASCC to hold the event in 2021 with the intent to hold the event in September or October 2021 with the final date to be determined when the 2021 Race Calendar is finalised later in the year."
