The shop plays an important role in delivering supplies and services to the Wagait Beach and Belyuen communities. ... To keep us, our staff and our communities safe we ask you to play your part in being socially responsible. Take care of yourselves, your neighbours and the vulnerable among us please observe social distancing rules. We are limited to 13 people in the shop at any one time. That’s actually quite a crowd for us! takeaway food, drinks and coffee are no longer able to be consumed at the tables out the back. All food, drinks and coffee are takeaway only please wait for takeaway orders on the verandah or in your car rather than inside the shop. 02.01.2022 50+ cyclists from K2DC called into the shop today, the end of their ride from Marlows Lagoon to Mandorah. The ride raises funds for Total Recreation, a not for profit organisation who assist people with disabilities participate in activities and sport within the community. The K2DC is usually a 3 day event with cyclists riding from Katherine to Darwin. The 2020 ride was modified to a one day event in light of the COVID crisis. Last years ride raised over $40,000 and this ye...ar, even with the challenges of COVID and a reduced event, they still hope to raise around $20,000. Who would have ever thought we would still be here 20 years later!!!!! What a journey, what a story and what crazy memories.
