25.01.2022 Kindergarten had a wonderful day exploring The Field Of Mars Reserve. They looked at the characteristics of places, considered how we can care for them, investigated the area using a map to plan their route and created and constructed their own shelters.

23.01.2022 Education Week is an annual celebration of NSW public education and the achievements of local schools and students. This year, the theme is 'Learning together'. Each day this week we will feature photos of one stage as a virtual open day. Today we begin with Early Stage 1. Here are just some of the moments Kindergarten have enjoyed learning together this year. #EdWeek20

22.01.2022 Nehara, Sarah and Louise proudly represented our school, Hornsby Zone and Sydney North Area at the NSWPSSA Athletics Championships last week. Nehara finished 18th in the junior girls shot put and 8th in the junior girls discus, Louise finished 34th in the 12 years 200m and Sarah finished 16th in the 12 years girls shot put and 10th in the 12 years girls long jump. Congratulations on your amazing athletics achievements, girls.

20.01.2022 Congratulations to Winnie who competed at the Gymnastics Nationals competition on the Gold Coast. Winnie trains a whopping 15 hours a week and has been doing competitive gymnastics for two years. She is now Level 5 and she competes in the bars, beam, floor and vault. A fantastic effort!

19.01.2022 Band students were excited to return to rehearsals after almost a term apart and it has been astonishing to see the students pull together as a team, making beautiful music as one. Pictured: Junior and Concert Band joyfully back at rehearsals in the Band Room this week.

18.01.2022 It is time to turn our attention to Stage 2, years 3 and 4. These students and teachers have achieved a lot by learning together. #EdWeek20

18.01.2022 Kindergarten celebrated 100 days of learning yesterday and what a celebration it was. These amazing children have endured a lot during their first 100 days of school and we are very proud of all they have achieved. The day was celebrated with biscuit decorating, painting, counting, construction, physical activity, cupcakes and buddy time. A fitting celebration for all involved.

17.01.2022 On Thursday, students dressed up as doctors and nurses to raise money for the Sydney Children's Hospital Foundation. There was a wonderful amount of effort and support for this worthy cause and we thank you for your generosity.



17.01.2022 Band students enjoyed online tutorials at school this week. There were lots of smiling faces, marked improvement and progress and a great deal of happiness as the students saw their tutors online. This is testament to the hard work of our students, the band staff and supportive parents.

17.01.2022 The K-2 Celebration Day was a lovely celebration of the students varied achievements throughout the year including performances from the choir, band, dance group and two song performances from the entire student body.

16.01.2022 Last week, 41 Concert Band students from Years 5 and 6 embarked on a three-day Band Tour to central-western NSW. They performed at six different schools: Molong Central School, Wellington PS, Dubbo South PS, Peak Hill Central School, Dubbo PS and Wattle Flat PS. Where they gave the gift of music, as well as hamper donations from the Wahroonga Public School community. It was a wonderful experience for all.

14.01.2022 Ella won the NAIDOC Medal of Excellence for her excellent colouring-in entry in a recent competition. We are all very proud of Ella's achievement. Well done Ella!

07.01.2022 A week of tradition, fun, excitement, tears, farewells and community at The Bush School this week. It began with Year 6 passing on the responsibility of caring for our environment in the Tree Giving Ceremony, continued with each stage celebrating a wonderful year at Party Day, followed by a showcase of talent and a farewell to a wonderful teacher at the Talent Show and culminated in a tearful, fond farewell from the school community to Year 6 2019. We wish everyone a happy and safe holiday break and look forward to welcoming you back in 2020.

05.01.2022 A wonderful finale with all bands and recorder group combining to finish off the concert in style! These kids sound amazing!!

05.01.2022 We participated in Clean Up Australia Day around our school today. It was wonderful to see students caring for our environment. Thank you to all involved students and staff!

04.01.2022 Caroline participated in the Tennis NSW 2019 State Teams Championships held at Cessnock in October. Caroline was part of a team of four girls competing with 11 other teams from across NSW. It was a very tough two days with 6 singles and 6 doubles matches for each of the girls. The hard work and cheering on of teammates paid off and Caroline's team won the championship. Caroline demonstrated great team spirit and played excellent tennis. Well done!
