19.01.2022 We wish to extend to you all an invitation to attend the church service hosted by St Thomas More’s Catholic Church Waikerie. The service will be held on Saturday 23rd January at 6pm in the Waikerie Football Clubrooms. The theme Reflect Respect Celebrate We are all part of the story will be all inclusive.

19.01.2022 The Waikerie Australia Day event is organised entirely by volunteers, with the gate and all food and beverage stalls on the night run by members of our community involved in their chosen sporting and community organisations. Make sure you get behind them and show your support by buying some tucker and staying hydrated! Don't forget to donate to the CFS while your at it... Donation tins will be found around the oval on the night!

17.01.2022 Today some of our committee members presented a cash donation to the Waikerie CFS branch! $4360 was raised from donation tins, Wendy’s Sweets and a donation from the Waikerie Australia Day Committee. We would like to thank all attendee’s of the Netafim Australia Day Event 2020 who donated on the night! A particularly big thanks to Wendy Pfeiler who donated all money raised from the sweet stall!

17.01.2022 In the face of this global pandemic, running a large, public event has become a monumental challenge. However, we feel that our event is a great opportunity for the local community and visitors to celebrate - especially after so many months of uncertainty - so we are pleased to announce the event will be going ahead 2021. In saying that as we are required to meet all SA COVID safety requirements this will mean the event will be in a different format. We will be endeavouring t...o find the balance between family, community and tourism to have an event that still celebrates Australia Day and Waikerie. Be assured, we are doing everything we can to make this event the best it can be and that, the things we can't do next year will be back in 2022. Please understand that the circumstances are changing regularly and we're doing our very best with what we know today and we hope you will support us on this journey.

03.01.2022 G R E A T N E W S... We have been successful in winning a Australia Day Event Grant. This means we can now offer our tickets at $5 per person and kids under 15 are FREE! If you have already paid, please see us on the night to be reimbursed your money!... A reminder that due to a covid event, we need a seat for every attendee (up to 1000). So please ensure you obtain tickets for children as well! Also children do not need to be seated for the duration of the event!

03.01.2022 The Waikerie Australia Day event is in its 25th year. Please be mindful that we have done our best to bring this event to the community but due to Covid-19 it will look a little different this year!! In the past the amazing community and sporting groups of Waikerie have supplied us with a number of different food stalls. this year there will be no food available to purchase on the night. All food available at the event will be supplied from the Waikerie Hotel and Waikerie Com...munity Club and MUST be pre-ordered and PAID by 5pm this coming Monday Jan 18th at Walk On Water For this year BYO food is allowed through the gates and there will be a free sausage sizzle for kids. Beverages (soft drink, water, beer, spirits and wine) are available to purchase on the night. There is no BYO drinks - other than water allowed through the gates as it is a licensed event. Seating - no BYO chairs, seating is limited and provided as part of our covid plan.
