Jina was born in South Korea and started working with stone in 2003 while studying traditional Korean Sculpture before earning a Masters in Fine Arts in 2009. Jina has worked at the J Shed Freo since 2013. Her inspiration comes from the observation of nature and the history of the earth that the stone carries. 18.01.2022 We are proud to be supporting the inaugural Stone to Art sculpture event, taking place 4-19 April, 2020 at Attadale Reserve. Over 16 days, six international scu...lptors will be transforming raw WA stone blocks into sculptural public artworks. This will be rare chance for the public to see how stone sculptures are created from the raw blocks to finished public artworks. Stone to Art is the third 2020 ART IN PLACE City of Melville's annual series of temporary site-specific public art events that aim to engage the community by giving residents and visitors unique opportunities to experience and encounter contemporary art in significant and accessible locations across the City.
