01.01.2022 Dearest supporters, (Detailed & important update ahead) I wanted to provide you with an update on the 2020 Walk4BrainCancer Campaign. ... Unfortunately, due to the conditions of the current environment and the uncertainty surrounding further restrictions, the 2020 Wollongong Walk4BrainCancer has been cancelled. Although this saddens me & disappoints me greatly, I believe it is in the best interest of our community and our volunteers. I am ready & determined to put in double the effort into the 2021 Wollongong Walk & look forward having us all back together on the track, re-united in the fight against brain cancer. The good news is .... although the actual events across the country have been cancelled, the CBCF’s commitment, passion & dedication to the mission and the cause is stronger than ever & I am sure the same can be said for our brain cancer community. Hence, the national movement against brain cancer continues . Super excited that the CBCF will be running a 2020 VIRTUAL Walk4BrainCancer Campaign on SUNDAY 27 SEPTEMBER, providing us all with an opportunity to come together virtually and raise vital funds and awareness to help find a cure!! Please SAVE THE DATE SUNDAY 27 SEPTEMBER! In a nutshell, everything will still be the same the passion, the cause, the mission, the foundation, the ability to raise awareness and funds, the ability to create teams and individual profiles and share your links. The only difference is that instead of walking on the Athletics Track, we will be walking throughout parts of our beautiful region and re-uniting online via social media platforms. The campaign and the website will be officially launched early next week so stay tuned for more details! In the meantime, if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me. Thank you once again for all your support of the Wollongong Walk4BrainCancer over the years and look forward to having your continued support in 2021.
