20.01.2022 If your business has been severely impacted by Covid-19, you may be eligible for a NSW State Government one-off $10,000 grant. To qualify, your business must: 1. Be based in NSW;... 2. Be a small business; 3. Be registered with an ABN as at 1/3/2020; 4. Have an annual turnover of more than $75,000; 5. Employ between 1 and 19 full time employees as at 1/3/2020; 6. Have a total wages cost less than $900,000; 7. Have been highly impacted by Public Health (COVID-19 Restrictions on Gathering and Movement) Order 2020 effective on 31/3/2020; 8. Have experienced at least 75% decline in turnover compared to the same two-week period in 2019, as a result of COVID-19 (for businesses that have been in operation for less than 12 months, refer to the guidelines); 9. Have unavoidable business costs not otherwise the subject of other NSW and Commonwealth Government financial assistance measures. 20.01.2022 NSW Government COVID-19 Recovery Stimulus Package The NSW Government Treasurer Dominic Perrottet has recently announced a further stimulus package to assist businesses in NSW recover from the economic impacts of COVID-19. Applications for the $3,000 Grant will open on 1 July 2020 and will close on 16 August 2020.... Eligible businesses and not-for-profits must meet a range of criteria including: - Australian Business Number as at 1 March 2020 registered in NSW; - Have total Australian wages below the NSW Government 2019-20 payroll tax threshold of $900,000 as at 1 March 2020; - Have fewer than 20 Full Time Equivalent staff (including non-employing businesses) as at 1 March 2020; - Have an annual turnover of more than $75,000 as at 1 March 2020; - Have experienced a decline in turnover of at least 30 per cent from March to July 2020 compared to the equivalent period (of at least two weeks) in 2019; - Are in a highly impacted industry as at 1 March 2020. These industries were impacted by the COVID-19 Restrictions on Gathering and Movement Order 2020; - Have costs from 1 July 2020 associated with safely re-opening or scaling up their business. 16.01.2022 **Instant Asset Write Off Update** In great news for Small and Medium sized businesses, the $150,000 instant asset write-off has now been extended until the end of the year as the government looks to spur businesses to invest. The instant asset write-off threshold of $150,000 for businesses with an aggregated turnover of less than $500 million, will now be extended to 31 December 2020.... Without the extension, the instant asset write-off threshold of $150,000 would have reverted to the $1,000 threshold and eligible only to small businesses with a turnover of less than $10 million after 30 June.
