25.01.2022 It is more important than ever that employers look after their staff and themselves. This year has brought many changes and challenges which can impact people's mental health. Simple things can make a vast difference for workplace mental health, such as ensuring all staff take their breaks (including managers) so they can recharge and regroup. Mental Health in the Workplace is a key focus area this Safe Work Month and both WorkSafe and SafeWork Australia have released some gr...eat resources for employers. And, as always we are here to help set up good systems to improve all areas of your workplace's health and safety, including mental health.

If you find you are missing out on your usual connection with other local Geelong business people, let us know. 22.01.2022 Planning a renovation? Is the area you are renovating older than the 1990s? There could be hidden asbestos. Asbestos can be dangerous to your health and can be hidden in plain sight. The only way to know for sure about the presence of asbestos is to have an asbestos audit. In Victoria workplaces that are undergoing renovations must have a Division 6 asbestos audit conducted before any work is undertaken.... Contact us to arrange an audit of your workplace or for more info.

16.01.2022 Musculoskeletal Disorders are the most common work-related condition in Australia despite the fact there are known methods to eliminate or minimise them. 15.01.2022 Why do we need a week focusing on specifically on Men's Health? Because the health status of males in most countries, including Australia, is generally poorer than that of females. More males die at every stages through the life course, more males have accidents, more males take their own lives and more males suffer from lifestyle-related health conditions than females at the same age. Meanwhile, men are less frequent visitors to general practitioners, and the perception is ...that they don't care about health or that health services are not well-prepared to interact with men effectively. In Australia, Men's Health Week provides a platform for challenging and debating key issues in men's health and to raise the profile of men, their health outcomes and health needs around the country each June. WSS is committed to improving Men's Health, which is why we have partnered with Right Mate each month to help support The Man Walk - Geelong. This week on our socials we will be giving tips on how we can improve Men's Health, and thus the health of our entire community.
