23.01.2022 On Behalf of Tammy Mason Hi all. We have now been able to finalise a time to say goodbye to David (Mase) Mason. His service will be held at the Walkerville Sports Club (24 Smith St, Walkerville) on Friday 17th July from 2:30pm.... We would love for as many of his friends, family, colleagues and associates to come along and give him the send off he absolutely deserves to have. We especially understand how hard it has been to wait for such a long time to be able to say goodbye, which would make your presence all the more significant to the family. Feel free to wear something which shows your association with David (or if you don’t have anything that reflects that, blue was his favourite colour) Attendee numbers are not limited, but we do still need to observe the current social distancing rules as well as contact tracing. There will be tables setup for everyone to write down their name & number - I have started filling out a list of known attendees already so if you’d like me to add you to it so you don’t need to bother on the day, private message me & consider it done After the service has concluded, the clubrooms upstairs will be open for refreshments, during which time you will be able to view some classic Mase memories and also share some of your own ‘Moments with Mase’ with us by way of a memory tree. I would love to leave the kids a legacy of memories which you have all experienced with Mase, so I have also setup an email address dedicated to collecting your stories, anecdotes, photos or tributes about him for them to reflect on in the future. The email address is: [email protected] To continue Mase’s legacy of giving to all who need help, we request that you all give a little of yourselves by donating blood. Mase experienced first hand how important that small donation can be to so many people and we would love for everyone to donate in honour of his memory. 06.01.2022 Reminder the club is open from 530 tonight and everyone is welcome. Walkerville junior football is on at the Cattery from 6pm. AFL on the big screen and of course our fantastic meals are back on also. Tonight is burger night with Cheese Burgers, Chicken Burger or pulled pork burgers all served with chips for $16. Kids have burger option or nuggets and chips or chicken fried rice all $10 each. Come on down and support the juniors and you may even see some changes that have been made to the club rooms

05.01.2022 Bar opens from 3:30 pm today and the B grade are playing from 1 pm until 6 pm today. Perfect day for a beverage on the balcony and watching the cats in action.

02.01.2022 It is with great sadness that we share the loss of a loved Cat member in David "Mase" Mason who passed away yesterday. Mase had been fighting a rare case of leukemia and all that know him are devastated by the news. Mase, along with his wife Tammy, have been long term Walkerville Sports club stalwarts donating a large part of their time to the club. Mase was a Cat through and through, playing over 250 games for the Walkerville Football Club between 1975 and 1995, he also pla...yed over 250 games with the Walkerville Cricket Club between 1976 and 2007. Mase was inducted into the WCC Hall of Fame for outstanding service, performance and playing for the spirit of the game. Mase was WSC Sports Director for 4 years, social director for 5 years, secretary for 2 years and Senior Vice president for 9 years. He also assisted in the running of the bar and any odd jobs that were required around the club. The Walkerville family pass on their condolences to Tammy and their children and offer our support in these sad times.
