23.01.2022 Platonic intimacy is the foundation of any friendship where everyone is invested in each other’s growth. With healthy equal give and take, trust and loyalty, and a serious investment and nurturing of the relationship. It looks like prioritizing each other through affirmations, support, and sometimes brutal honesty.... Read more in the link below including - What exactly is platonic intimacy? - Learning each other’s love languages -How platonic intimacy can enrich your life - Why platonic intimacy is important for our quality of life Friendships may teach you who you like to bond with and why, and they may also teach you your own emotional weaknesses and, if you are willing, how to strengthen them. Platonic intimacy provides a safe space to learn boundary-setting and giving and receiving love in a low-stakes, low-pressure way. It's a created space for both people to grow.
23.01.2022 This article communicates some of the core qualities to focus on to deepen or strengthen your relationship. Of course, we can never forget how crucial assertive and proactive communication is- especially in these areas. Healthy communication can help couples overcome many obstacles - just by understanding each other's point of view. The conscious couple is willing to look at their past and current issues in relationships because they know that by facing these belief systems,... they can evolve into a new relationship-reality. Dysfunctional patterns will dissolve, but only when we take responsibility for them first. Growing individually and together The conscious couple values growth more than anything else because they know this is the secret to keeping the relationship alive. Even though growth is scary (because it takes us into the unknown), the couple is willing to strive towards expansion, even at the risk of out-growing the relationship. Because of this, the relationship maintains a natural feeling of aliveness, and love between the couple does, too. Radical honesty revealing parts of ourselves that are hard to share and letting our partners do the same. This leads to feeling known, seen, and truly understood a combination that will automatically enhance your love. A Relationship is a Place to Practice Love Love, ultimately, is a practice. A practice of acceptance, being present, forgiveness, and stretching your heart into vulnerable territories. Love is a journey and an exploration. Sometimes we treat love like it’s a destination. We want that peak feeling all the time, and when it’s not there, we’re not satisfied with what the relationship has become. In my mind, this is missing the whole point of love. Of course, we can never forget how crucial assertive and proactive communication is- especially in these areas. Healthy communication can help couples overcome many obstacles - just by understanding each others point of view. The conscious couple is fiercely committed to being the embodiment of love. And through their devotion and practice, love shows up in their lives and relationship in ways they would’ve never imagined before. Finally, never forget how crucial assertive and proactive communication is- especially in these areas. Healthy communication can help couples overcome many obstacles - just by understanding each others point of view.

20.01.2022 We are here to help you understand...Flashbacks "When discussing the topic of flashbacks with friends and family, most assume its just a memory. However, thats not what its like at all. For most people, flashbacks are an intense re-experience of a traumatic event, which feels like its happening now and involves all your senses. It feels like being re-traumatized, even though you are not actually experiencing the event for real." A commom misconception is that a flashb...ack isnt just the flashback itself, but also the aftermath that follows. Flashbacks can take many forms. Its best to ask your loved one, what they can do best to help you during and after. "Once its over, the racing of my heart feels as though it could pound right out of my chest. Im clammy, and it feels like Im going to die. Slowly, slowly the feeling passes, and reality sets back in. Im back in my grown up body in my real life, but this terrible fear remains: When it will happen again. What will it be? How long will it last? How many more times will I have to endure this agony?" The aftermath can be tricky, but by learning and practising skills to help you "bounce back", they can have a lesser affect on your life.

19.01.2022 Dissociation feels different for every person. It is scary watching a friend, family member or loved one experience these episodes. You may feel helpless, scared or unsure of what to do. If you notice that your loved one is spacing out, staring at the wall, not speaking, suddenly withdrawn, has a delayed reaction time, is complaining of not feeling real, etc., your loved one may be dissociating. How can we help a loved one who is dissociating? Heres how you can help someone having a dissociative episode cope with this truly frightening feeling. These tips can also be applied to yourself if you are struggling with dissociation.
19.01.2022 "What is a non-negotiable and why do I need one?" you ask... Well, a non-negotiable is a pretty self-explanatory word, but I want to clarify it just in case youve never heard the term in this context before. A non-negotiable is a thing that you do every single day, without negotiation. Even if you just adopt ONE of these non-negotiables, you will change your life!... In this case, its something youre 100% committed to so you can feel good and be the best version of yourself. Nothing and nobody will get in the way of you doing this thing because this thing is a top priority of yours for the sake of vibin high (aka feeling amazing)! When you create a nonnegotiable youre literally affirming "I intend to do this beneficial thing no matter what because thats how important feeling good is to me." And THAT my friends is an extremely powerful intention. Especially because these good habits end up having exponential effects on your life not just in the moments you do them, but over time as well. I mean just think of how different you would feel, and your life would be, if you made 15 minutes of meditation every morning your new non-negotiable! Or if you spent time in nature every single day... The quality of your life would surely improve.
18.01.2022 Its hard not to feel stressed, anxious, or depressed in a pandemic, isnt it? But in difficult times like these, its essential to do all you can to reduce stress. Why? Because chronic stress combined with feelings of isolation and loneliness can alter the function and structure of the brain, and lead to anxiety, depression, and other mood disorders.
18.01.2022 Not everyone needs to know details, but this is a great reminder to clearly communicate how you are feeling to your loved ones. Its the best way for them to understand. And a reminder to be an "open responder" to be more aware of how our loved ones may be feeling. 15.01.2022 Stress Tip: Smile More for Less Stress Studies have shown that smiling releases endorphins, natural pain killers that also counteract stress, and serotonin, a substance that makes you feel good. Smiling may also increase immune function, extend your longevity, reduce your blood pressure, and increase focus and productivity.... Who can resist a smile? When you flash a genuine smile and use your eyes to connect with others, theyll smile back at least half the time. The simple gift of your smile will invite them to enjoy the stress-reducing benefits of smiling too. Doesnt smiling make you feel better as well? Often we barely notice the person next to us because were lost in our inner world of thoughts and emotions. But all that rumination can just bring more stress and worry. This month, whenever you see someone, use it as an opportunity to smile. Look at the person softly and smile in a relaxed way. To receive the positive effects, make it a genuine smile that engages the muscles in the mouth, cheeks, and eyes. I think people can feel your smile, even if youre wearing a mask. And now is a time when we need more connection than ever, even if its at a distance. You could even smile when youre alone. Dont worry, we wont tell anyone! Sandra - Always Well Within

13.01.2022 "Today was a Difficult Day," said Pooh. There was a pause. "Do you want to talk about it?" asked Piglet. "No," said Pooh after a bit. "No, I dont think I do." ..."Thats okay," said Piglet, and he came and sat beside his friend. "What are you doing?" asked Pooh. "Nothing, really," said Piglet. "Only, I know what Difficult Days are like. I quite often dont feel like talking about it on my Difficult Days either. "But goodness," continued Piglet, "Difficult Days are so much easier when you know youve got someone there for you. And Ill always be here for you, Pooh." And as Pooh sat there, working through in his head his Difficult Day, while the solid, reliable Piglet sat next to him quietly, swinging his little legs...he thought that his best friend had never been more right." A.A. Milne Sending thoughts to everyone having a Difficult Day today. I hope you have your own Piglet to sit beside you
13.01.2022 Bipolar Disorder or Manic Depression is a mood disorder, and is the name given to the experience of abnormal moods or exaggerated mood swings. Irritability, drinking to feel better, trouble sleeping, headaches, and a lack of energy are all early signs that you are heading towards a meltdown (Salvagioni et al., 2017). The Mayo Clinic describes burnout as physical and mental exhaustion, often associa...ted with a loss of identity and the sense that we are not accomplishing anything. So, how do you stop? How do you take care of yourself? In this article, we explore a wellness tool that helps you regain control and focus on your busy life.
